A Modular Access to (±)-Tubocurine and (±)-Curine - Formal Total Synthesis of Tubocurarine.

2017

Two consecutive Cu-catalyzed Ullmann-type C–O couplings permitted the first successful entry toward the curare alkaloids (±)-tubocurine and (±)-curine. Starting from vanillin, the synthetic sequence comprises 15 linear steps and includes a total of 24 transformations. In addition, the total synthesis of tubocurine represents a formal total synthesis of the famous arrow poison alkaloid tubocurarine.

Nel dicembre del 1686 l'ingegnere del Regno Scipione Basta una figura ancora in gran parte da indagare ma del quale sembra profilarsi una specifica competenza in campo tecno-costruttivo e in particolare nel consolidamento delle strutture veniva incaricato dal governo viceregio di stilare una relazione tecnica riguardo ad alcuni delicati aspetti costruttivi del progetto di fra Giovanni da Monreale per la cappella voluta dall'arcivescovo Roano nel duomo cantiere che da lì a poco avrebbe avuto inizio. Data la particolare configurazione della fabbrica –una cappella cupolata a pianta ottagona costruita su un angiporto per consentire il passaggio della preesistente pubblica via– l'ingegnere dettava una serie di prescrizioni al fine di assicurare non solo la stabilità dell'edificio ma anche che gli elementi spingenti della nuova struttura (archi volte e cupola) con le loro sollecitazioni non causassero danni all'antico duomo normanno e in particolare ai suoi preziosi apparati musivi.Settore ICAR/18 - Storia Dell'Architettura

1. Das isolierte Huhneramnion nach Baur eignet sich gut, um Fragen nach der Entstehung der Erregung, deren Weiterleitung und Koordination, dem Angriffspunkt und der Wirkungsweise von Pharmaka zu prufen, da es sich um ein nervenfreies, rhythmische Kontraktionen ausfuhrendes Organ handelt, das praparativ leicht zu handhaben ist. 2. Auf die erregende Wirkung von Acetylcholin, Nicotin und Bariumionen sind d-Tubocurarin, Decamethonium, Atropin, Hexamethonium und Pentamethonium ohne Einflus. 3. Papaverin und Chinin hemmen die genannten erregenden Verbindungen reversibel. 4. Bariumionen fuhren zu Storungen in der Regelmasigkeit der rhythmischen Kontraktionen. Heat production of frogs under normoxic and hypoxic conditions: A microcalorimetric study using a gas flow system

Abstract Heat production of male frogs, Rana temporaria , was measured in a microcalorimeter through which a continuous flow of gas was passed in order to generate constant normoxic, hypoxic or anoxic conditions. The normoxic heat flow was 163 ± 37 μ W g body weight in frogs that had not been treated with curare and 149 ± 69 μ W g in animals immobilized with curare. During anoxia, frogs, whether curarized or not, decreased their heat production to about 25% of the respective normoxic control. In graded hypoxia (10% to 3% O 2 ), curarized frogs decreased their heat rate according to the grade of hypoxia they were subjected to.
