Intégrer des informations en escamots dans les textes techniques : quels effets sur les processus cognitifs ?

Though computerized sytems now offer a wide range of options for accessing and displaying text or text-picture information, little is known about their effects on the user's cognitive processes. In this paper, we investigate the effect of a computer-specific display (pop-up window) which consists in displaying some pieces of information in windows that appear only under user's action. Experiments were carried out to compare the pop-up window device with other devices used on paper. The experiments dealt with text only as well as text-picture documents and involved various tasks. Results are discussed from a theoretical and a practical point of view.

Analogamente al pittore di cui scrive Bion (1965), anche il paziente effettua le sue trasformazioni secondo varianti stilistiche particolari che sono in rapporto con le modalità del suo funzionamento psichico profondo. Tali invarianti stilistiche sono altresì in rapporto con le teorie che ciascun soggetto sviluppa su se stesso. Tali teorie si rivelano come il prodotto della costruzione di false connessioni tra oggetti delle quali vengono indagati l'"uso" della relazione causale come "pseudocausalità" e le connotazioni rintracciabili nelle modalità dell'istanza superegoica.

El problema de la demarcación ciencia/pseudociencia desde una perspectiva cognitiva

El proyecto parte desde las bases conceptuales o filosóficas de la pseudociencia (metacriterio y criterio de demarcación), desarrollando una herramienta demarcativa a fin de definir y cribar la pseudociencia. El segundo capítulo incluye tanto una elucidación del cuarto ítem del criterio de demarcación como la validación de una escala psicométrica para la medición de creencias pseudocientíficas. Fighting Antibiotic Resistance: New Pyrimidine-Clubbed Benzimidazole Derivatives as Potential DHFR Inhibitors

The present work describes the design and development of seventeen pyrimidine-clubbed benzimidazole derivatives as potential dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) inhibitors. These compounds were filtered by using ADMET, drug-likeness characteristics calculations, and molecular docking experiments. Compounds 27, 29, 30, 33, 37, 38, and 41 were chosen for the synthesis based on the results of the in silico screening. Each of the synthesized compounds was tested for its in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities using a variety of strains. This study deals with the design and implementation of a research on the concepts of «amount of substance» and «mol». This work is grounded on a constructivistic conception of the learning of Sciences, more particularly on the model known as teaching-learning as oriented research. Helena Lonkila works as a researcher-conservator at the Kainuu Museum. This article is based on the thesis of the same name that the author wrote for her master’s degree. She is thus the first person in Finland to have an MA with museology as the main subject. The paper was published by the Department of Art and Culture Studies, University of Jyväskylä, Culture, Science and Technology Master’s Programme and the Kainuu Museum in January 2005.
