Narratives by women managers about spousal support for their careers
2014
In this article we present a qualitative study of spousal support for the careers of women managers. The research material consists of the narratives of 25 women managers in Finland. The study has two main implications. Firstly, unlike previous studies, we use a narrative approach to demonstrate that a woman manager's career and spousal support are experienced as ambiguous and evolving over the career. The support was constructed by the women managers as flourishing, irrelevant, deficient or inconsistent. Krāsu sakārtošanas testu rezultātu analīze ar kvantitatīvām metodēm

Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 35 lappusēm. Tas satur 23 attēlus, 6 tabulas, 3 pielikumus, 31 literatūras avota atsauces. Mērķis: Izvērtēt piesātināto un nepiesātināto D15 krāsu sakārtošanas testu un HRR pseidoizohromatisko plašu jutību un specificitāti sarkani-zaļā krāsu redzes defekta un normālas krāsu redzes gadījumos. Metode: Pētījumā piedalījās 28 dalībnieki, no kuriem 12 dalībniekiem bija sarkani-zaļais krāsu redzes defekts. Krāsu redze tika novērtēta ar HMC Oculus anomaloskopu, HRR pseidoizohromatisko krāsu platēm un piesātināto un nepiesātināto D15 krāsu sakārtošanas testiem. Tika secināts, ka kvantitatīvās metodes vienlīdz labi analizē krāsu sakārtošanas testus.

La chapelle Notre-Dame du Chemin est un site emblématique de la côte viticole, à environ 5 km au NE de Beaune, sur le territoire de la commune de Ladoix-Serrigny en Côte-d’Or. Le diagnostic archéologique réalisé au pied de l’actuel édifice s’est déroulé du 5 au 9 mars 2018. En dépit d’une emprise limitée au fuseau d’un futur réseau de drainage, l’opération a permis de documenter l’évolution de l’environnement de la chapelle depuis la fin du premier Moyen Âge jusqu’à nos jours. Defying Stereotypes with Nanodiamonds: Stable Primary Diamondoid Phosphines

International audience; Direct unequal C-H bond difunctionalization of phosphorylated diamantane was achieved in high yield from the corresponding phosphonates. Reduction of the functionalized phosphonates provides access to novel primary and secondary alkyl/aryl diamantane phosphines. The prepared primary diamantyl phosphines are quite air stable compared to their adamantyl and especially alkyl or aryl analogues. This finding is corroborated by comparing the singly occupied molecular orbital energy levels of the corresponding phosphine radical cations obtained by density functional theory computations.
SparseHC: A Memory-efficient Online Hierarchical Clustering Algorithm

Computing a hierarchical clustering of objects from a pairwise distance matrix is an important algorithmic kernel in computational science. Since the storage of this matrix requires quadratic space with respect to the number of objects, the design of memory-efficient approaches is of high importance to this research area. In this paper, we address this problem by presenting a memory-efficient online hierarchical clustering algorithm called SparseHC. SparseHC scans a sorted and possibly sparse distance matrix chunk-by-chunk. We analyze the link between standardization and economic growth by systematically reviewing leading economics journals, leading economic growth researchers’ articles, and economic growth-related books. We make the following observations: 1) No article has analyzed the link between standardization and economic growth in top5 economics journals between 1996 and 2018. 2) A representative sample of the leading researchers of economic growth has allocated little attention to the link between standardization and economic growth. 3) Typically, economic growth textbooks do not contain “standards” or “standardization” in their word indexes. From vernacular accounting to standardized PMS : Logic multiplicity in a cooperative bank

In this chapter we analyze how local member banks shifted from local, vernacular, accounting, and performance measurement systems to centralized and standardized performance measurement systems in a cooperative bank organization. The member banks reduced the use of vernacular accounting systems (VAS) to achieve greater cost-efficiency and to meet regulation requirements, but they still maintained their strong local logics beside the cooperative unity logic, with only minimal or moderate conflict.
