ABSTRACT: This article seeks to present the different languages (emblems, Renaissance translations of classical myths, biblical exegesis) that inform the images of monsters which, as hybrid creatures blending human and animal characteristics, serve a dramatic function in Shakespeare’s King Lear . It means to question the ways in which the play links filial ingratitude with female monstrosity and Lear’s madness. Memory irradiation measurements for the European SMART-1 spacecraft

Three different types of memory circuits, that are intended to be used on board of the European satellite SMART-1, have been radiation hardness tested according to ESA's specification. Since the satellite is equipped with an electric propulsion engine, the spacecraft will be exposed to radiation during a long time when passing the radiation belt of the Earth. A standard DRAM circuit from SAMSUNG will serve as building block of the mass memory of SMART-1, and has been tested for total dose and proton induced single event upset (SEU). Heavy ion SEE test of 2 Gbit DDR3 SDRAM

New generation 2 Gbit DDR3 SDRAMs from Micron, Samsung and Nanya have been tested under heavy ions. SEFIs significantly outweigh random SEU errors even at low LET; however, SEFIs can be mitigated by frequent re-initialization.

Testo, Interpretazione, Drammaturgia, ieri e oggi”, held in Palermo on April 7, 2016, whose intent is here motivated. The meeting pivoted on the idea that a tragedy as IA, burdened with serious textual problems – as evidenced by the latest editions by James Diggle (OCT) and David Kovacs (Loeb) –, may be a good basis for a methodological reassessment, within which textual criticism may interact with interpretative problems and dramaturgical performances, concerning either the time when theatrical representations were performed and their numerous rewritings. Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot kā pāri prezentē savas attiecības sociālo tīklu portālā Facebook un kā tas ietekme attiecības reālajā dzīvē. Par pētījuma teorētisko bāzi tiek izmantota Ērvinga Gofmaņa dramaturģiskā pieeja. Pētījumā tiek apskatīti jaunieši, kuri ir attiecībās vismaz pus gadu un kuri ir sociālā tīklu portāla Facebook lietotāji. Datu iegūšanas metode ir daļēji strukturētas intervijas ar Facebook lietotājiem, kuri ir pāru attiecībās, un kvantitatīvā kontentanalīze viņu profila kontiem sociālajā tīklu portālā Facebook. Darbā tiek secināts, ka jaunieši izmanto Facebook savu attiecību prezentēšanai galvenokārt ar vizuālu materiālu palīdzību, kā arī nomainot savu attiecību statusu.
Application of transvaginal and abdominal three-dimensional ultrasound for the detection or exclusion of malformations of the fetal face

In a total of 618 pregnant women between 9 and 37 weeks' gestation, the fetal face was evaluated by two-dimensional and three-dimensional ultrasound imaging as part of a level III screening evaluation for fetal anomalies. A three-dimensional endovaginal probe (5 MHz) was used for examinations at between 9 and 15 weeks, and an abdominal three-dimensional probe (3.5 MHz) was used after 15 weeks. Three different three-dimensional image display modes were employed: (1) the orthogonal display; (2) the surface display; and (3) the transparent display.
