Abstract Casein phosphopeptides (CPPs) have been proposed as potential dietary antioxidants on designing new functional products. A fruit beverage, with/without milk, was subjected to in vitro digestion. Caco-2 cultures were preincubated with soluble fractions or isolated CPPs, the latter obtained from skimmed milk. OBJECTIVES: To describe the frequency, indication, and modality of palliative sedation (PS) in patients followed at home. METHODS: A retrospective analysis of home care cancer patients was performed. Nitric oxide (NO) derived from the endothelial NO synthase (eNOS) has antihypertensive, antithrombotic, anti-atherosclerotic and antiobesogenic properties. Resveratrol is a polyphenol phytoalexin with multiple cardiovascular and metabolic effects. Part of the beneficial effects of resveratrol are mediated by eNOS. Resveratrol stimulates NO production from eNOS by a number of mechanisms, including upregulation of eNOS expression, stimulation of eNOS enzymatic activity and reversal of eNOS uncoupling.
