Chemical Composition of the Leaf Oil ofLantana camara

The essential oil of the fresh leaves of Lantana camera growing in Dehra Dun was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The major constituents identified in the oil included β-caryophyllene (23.3%), α-humulene (11.5%), germacrene D (10.9%), davanone (7.3%) and γ-curcumene (6.3%).

Some series of isostructural chains with general formula [M(diclof)(HO)]·(EtOH) have been obtained from reaction between diclofenac ligand (diclof) and first row transition salts (M = Mn (1),Ni (2) and Co (3)). These monodimensional coordination polymers have been characterized and their crystal structures have been solved by X-ray diffraction methods, elucidating isostructural compounds that are chains with water molecules acting as bridge between different metallic centers, while diclofenac ligands are coordinated to the octahedral coordination environment of the same. Unprecedented ring cleavage in the reaction of 1-methyl-3-phenacyl benzimidazolium ylide with diethyl azodicarboxylate

The reaction with diethyl azodicarboxylate (DEAZD) of different cycloimmonium ylides derived from pyridinium, quinolinium, isoquinolinium and 1-methylbenzimidazolium bromides (3, 4, 5 and 6) yielded 3-substituted tetraazapentenes (2). In the special case of 1-methyl-3-phenacyl-benzimidazolium bromide (6a), the ring cleavage compound N-[1-[(ethoxycarbonyl)amino]-2-oxo-2-phenylethylidene]-N-formyl-N-methyl-1,2-benzenediamine (7a) was obtained. Its structure was established by X-ray crystallography.
Xyloglucan-derived oligosaccharides induce ethylene synthesis in persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) fruit

In this work the effect of injection of xyloglucan-derived oligosaccharides (XGOs) into whole persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) fruits on ethylene biosynthesis was investigated. Fruits collected during different ripening stages produced low levels of ethylene without a climacteric-like peak. Pretreatment of these fruits with 10 cm 3 C 2 H4 m -3 for 8 h stimulated little or no endogenous ethylene production. However, when persimmon fruits were injected with a mixture of XGOs a burst in ethylene production was observed compared with water-injected control fruits or fruits injected with different monosaccharide solutions. Abstract The article examines how the aspects of the social world are enacted in a theater play. The data come from a videotaped performance of a professional theater, portraying a story about a workplace organization going through a personnel training program. The aim of the study is to show how the core theme of the play – the teaming up of the personnel – is constructed in the live performance through a range of interactional means. La presente tesis doctoral consta de dos partes diferenciadas, la reacción de oxidación total de compuestos orgánicos volátiles (COVs) y la deshidrogenación oxidativa de etano para la obtención de etileno. Por una parte, se muestra un estudio sobre la síntesis y caracterización de diferentes óxidos de hierro másicos y soportados, para ser empelados como catalizadores en reacciones de oxidación total de COVs. La tesis se enfoca en presentar la realidad de las Contribuciones Especiales en el ordenamiento jurídico ecuatoriano. Para ello, se ha realizado una descripción teórica de la regulación de este tributo en el derecho de Ecuador, se ha contrastado esta regulación con la verdadera naturaleza jurídica tributaria que debe tener este tributo, además de realizar una comparación con la regulación de las contribuciones especiales en el caso español. Esta descripción ha permitido justificar que, desde la norma ecuatoriana, se regula a este tributo de forma inadecuada y le dota de características que no son propias de esta prestación.
