El granuloma periférico de células gigantes (GPCG) es una lesión reactiva benigna relativamente frecuente de la cavidad bucal. Se origina a partir del periostio o de la membrana periodontal tras una irritación o un traumatismo crónico que actúa localmente. Se manifiesta en forma de nódulo de color rojo-púrpura, situado en la encía o en el reborde alveolar edéntulo, preferentemente en la mandíbula. Aparece a cualquier edad, con una mayor incidencia entre la quinta y sexta décadas de la vida, con una ligera predilección por el sexo femenino. Starp Ķīnu un Japānu pastāv konflikti diplomātiskajā un starpnacionālajā līmeņos. Darbā tiek petīti Ķīnas un Japānas savstarpējie strīdi, ko izraisīja tās domstarpības par Nankinas slaktiņa atšķirīgām interpretācijām. Šajā pētnieciskajā darbā autors apskata vecticībnieku skaita un apdzīvojuma izmaiņas Latgalē laika posmā no 1925. gada līdz 2011. gadam, kā arī, ja tas iespējams, cenšas rast iemeslus šīm izmaiņām. Vecticībnieki ir dzīvojuši Latvijas teritorijā jau vairākus gadsimtus, un lielākā daļa vecticībnieku jau izsenis ir dzīvojuši Latgalē. Darbā apskatītajā laika posmā, Latgale ir pārdzīvojusi trīs dažādus Latvijas vēstures posmus- Latvijas pirmās brīvvalsts laikus, padomju laikus, kā arī otrās brīvvalsts laikus, kuri turpinās vēl šobrīd. Bakalaura darbā “Dronu izmantošana kultūrvēsturisko pieminekļu dokumentēšanā: Āraišu piļu piemērs” tika apskatīta bezpilota gaisa kuģu visbiežāk sastopamā modeļa - drona, izmantošana fotogrammetrijas vajadzībām. Dotajā gadījumā – izmantojot bezpilota gaisa kuģa iegūtos datus, tiek veidoti trīs 3D modeļi kultūrvēsturiskajiem objektiem – divi Āraišu ezerpilij un viens Āraišu ordeņa pilsdrupām. Šo objektu dokumentēšanas mērķis ir fiksēt to stāvokli un telpisko izvietojumu. The chemical composition of the aerial parts essential oil of Achillea cretica L. (Asteraceae) growing wild in Crete (Greece)

Achillea cretica (L.) (Asteraceae) is a suffruticosa camefite plant, mainly distributed in Crete, Aegean Islands, and eastern Mediterranean area. In the present study, the chemical composition of the essential oil from aerial parts of a not previously investigated accession of Achillea cretica, collected in Crete, was analysed by GC-MS. The results showed the presence of large quantity of α-bisabolol (53.88%) followed by the related compound α-bisabolol-oxide (2.76%), and spathulenol (5.94%). Based on the composition of the essential oils of all the other Achillea taxa, several consideration have been carried out.

The essential oils of the flowers of Magydaris tomentosa (Desf.) DC. (Apiaceae) collected in Sicily (MSi) and Algeria (MAl), respectively, were obtained by hydrodistillation, and their compositions were analysed. The analyses allowed the identification and quantification of 23 components in MSi and 60 compounds in MAl, respectively, showing a very different profile in the composition of the two populations. The main components of MSi were cembrene (28.2%), α-springene (17.5%) and β-springene (14.8%), also present in MAl but in lesser amount (0.4%, 1.8% and 0.9%, respectively), whereas the principal constituents of MAl were (E)-nerolidol (35.4%), α-costol (13.3%) and β-costol (6.8%).
