French-speaking second-grade children from France and Wallonia were asked to write down in the Arabic code, numbers orally presented at six successive one-month-spaced sessions. The evolution of the children's production (patterns of correct responses and errors) is analysed and tentatively interpreted through the model of number and calculation processing developed by McCloskey in adult neuropsychology. Abstract The aim of this phenomenographic study was to discover the educationally critical aspects of learning conceptions among health education student teachers (N = 20). The qualitative data consisted of written essays and semi-structured interviews. Six qualitatively distinctive conceptions of learning could be discerned, namely learning as 1) the reproduction of acquired health knowledge, 2) the application of health knowledge, 3) developing personal meanings on health matters, 4) the transformation of individual thinking, 5) personal growth, and 6) collective meaning-making. Trust and mistrust when students read multiple information sources about climate change

Abstract The present study investigated how undergraduates judged the trustworthiness of different information sources that they read about climate change. Results showed that participants ( N = 128) judged information from textbook and official documents to be more trustworthy than information from newspapers and a commercial agent. Moreover, participants put most emphasis on content and least emphasis on date of publication when judging document trustworthiness. When judging the trustworthiness of the textbook, they emphasized criteria differently than when evaluating other types of documents. Check in–check out (CICO) is a widely used and studied behavioural intervention. Although CICO is an effective way to support pupils’ behaviour in a school context, not all pupils benefit from basic CICO. A single-case experimental study was designed to evaluate the effects of CICO Plus support (CICO Plus) for participants whose behaviour was determined to be non-responsive to basic CICO. Evidence suggests that the link between child maltreatment and these psychopathological outcomes may be moderated by various factors. L'objectif du présent article est de proposer un état des lieux des études récentes permettant d'offrir un cadre conceptuel et opérationnel au concept de comportement difficile à table, tout en mettant en lumière les conséquences psychologiques pour l'enfant, ainsi que les pratiques éducatives parentales associées. L'article ambitionne aussi de déterminer dans quelle mesure un enfant difficile est un mangeur à risque de développer ultérieurement des troubles du comportement alimentaire (anorexie mentale, ARFID), et quelles seraient les pistes à privilégier, en termes de guidance parentale, pour accompagner l'enfant.
