Classical pediatric Hodgkin lymphoma in very young patients: the Italian experience

Many studies have reported a more favorable outcome in younger patients with Hodgkin lymphoma (HL). The aims of this study were to find an appropriate age cutoff able to identify low-risk children and to describe the natural history of 135 very young patients affected by classic HL (cHL). The best age cutoff was identified at 7 years of age. EFS (p = .0451) and PFS (p = .00921) were significantly better in the group of younger patients. The OS rate at 10 years was 97.0% in the younger group and 92.5% in the older one (p = .0448). Pudendal nerve branch injury during radical perineal prostatectomy

We report the first case of direct surgical injury to a pudendal nerve branch during radical perineal prostatectomy. A 65-year-old patient presented with typical symptoms of a pudendal nerve lesion after radical perineal prostatectomy. As the patient did not respond to conservative treatment, surgical exploration and exeresis of the injured sensory branch of the pudendal nerve was necessary, resulting in pain improvement. Urologic surgeons should be aware of the typical symptoms after iatrogenic injury to the pudendal nerve or its branches. Early diagnosis and neurosurgical intervention are important to obtain a more favorable outcome.

Segmenting the spectators of national team sports: the case of a pre-competition match

It has become common for academics and sports marketing professionals to study and explain the heterogeneity and complexity of sports spectators' behaviours and attitudes, with numerous works addressing this topic But these surveys are more about fans of professional sports clubs (soccer, basketball, baseball, hockey, etc) who attend regular season games in their favourite teams' home stadium or arena. To our knowledge, very few studies have been conducted into spectators of national teams. It is these spectators who are of the focus of this paper.

Sono apparse nell’ultimo decennio le edizioni critiche del Novus Avianus del cosiddetto Astensis poeta, ignoto poeta italiano, originario di Asti che nell’XI secolo rielaborò le favole avianee sottoponendole ad una ponderata amplificatio e ridistribuendole, secondo l’argomento, in tre libri. Lo studio indaga le caratteristiche di questa produzione favolistica, studiando i modi di rimaneggiamento delle favole avianee sperimenate dai singoli rielaboratori mediolatini.

The essay analyses 2006 Convention on maritime work, and it highlights its original characteristics within ILO sources: firstly, the Convention systemises the fragmented scenario of conventions and recommendations on maritime workers’ rights. Secondly, it is characterised by a strong effectiveness, especially having regard to repatriation and to Flag State and Port State controls, not limited to ships flying a flag of a ratifying State. Linguistic intergroup bias at school : an exploratory study of black and white children in France and their implicit attitude towards another

International audience; " Linguistic intergroup bias " (LIB) (Maass et al., 2000) was investigated in French elementary schools between children of the French majority group (White children of European heritage) and a French minority group (Black children from Sub-Saharan Africa). Participants (N = 360; 7–11-year-old; mean age = 10.36, SD = .85) were shown photographs presenting a target character (ingroup or outgroup) engaging in a positive behavior (e.g., a helping action) or a negative behavior (e.g., an aggressive action). La reciente recesión y la crisis económica en España han supuesto un duro impacto en las condiciones de vida de la población. En el presente estudio se profundiza en el impacto de la crisis sobre el acceso a los estudios superiores, así como en los comportamientos relacionados con la exclusión social que los estudiantes universitarios han realizado o serían capaces de realizar con el único propósito de costearse su educación. Para ello, 96 estudiantes contestaron voluntariamente una encuesta cuyo objetivo era evaluar su situación sociolaboral y detectar posibles situaciones de riesgo social.
