Recent studies give support for a connection between the presence of inorganic particles (of microm and nm size) in different organs and tissues and the development of inflammatory foci, called granulomas. As the potential source of particles (e.g. porcelain dental bridges) and the location of particle detection were topographically far apart, a distribution via the blood stream appears highly probable. Maģistra darbā tiek pētīta ekstensīvās lasīšanas ietekme uz skolēnu spēju veikt lasīšanas uzdevumus. Teorētiskajā daļā tiek izklāstīts lasīšanas jēdziens; darbā apskatītas pamatskolas skolēnu problēmas lasīšanā, kā arī ekstensīvās lasīšanas loma, tekstu izlases kritēriji un efektīvas lasīšanas stratēģijas. Šī darba mērķis ir palīdzēt vidējā zināšanu līmeņa skolēniem apgūt lasīšanas stratēģijas. Diplomdarbs tika izstrādāts, lai padziļinātu izpratni par “Es protu apgalvojumu” izmantošanu kā pašvadītu mācīšanās prasmju novērtēšanas instrumenta faktisko pielietojumu un lai noteiktu, vai tas palīdz uzlabot skolēnu angļu valodas sasniegumus. Diplomdarba mērķis bija izpētīt, kā pašvadītas mācīšanās “Es protu apgalvojumus” var izmantot angļu valodas stundās, lai uzlabotu skolēnu angļu valodas sniegumu 4. klasē. In early 2014 the foreign and security policy discourse in the Baltic region was transformed as a resurgent and assertive Russia annexed Crimea and launched covert operations in eastern Ukraine.1 Observers were quick to point out that events in Ukraine eerily paralleled the 1940 occupation of the Baltic states. The traditional security concerns about Russian intentions in the region that the Baltic states had increasingly suppressed over the previous 20 years once again rushed to the surface. The post-existential era of Baltic foreign and security policy that had marked the decade that followed accession to the EU and NATO seemed to have come to an end.

The Eurosceptic turnabout which has taken place in the CEE constitutes one of the most significant factors weakening the cohesion of the EU. In this group, Poland is the key element in view of its size and the status of the ‘poster boy’ of Europeanization acquired in the previous years. This paper analyses the major trends in the European policy of the Polish governments in the long-term period of 1990–2018 on the basis of standardized data (addresses by the Polish ministers of foreign affairs) and a quantitative analysis.
