An Innovative Coupling Solution for Power Line Communication in MV Electrical Networks

One of the main problems in the diffusion of power line communication (PLC) in medium voltage (MV) networks is the need of a dedicated PLC coupler to be installed all over the network. To avoid this problem, the authors have studied, prototyped and patented an innovative PLC coupling solution which uses electrical elements embedded in most of the switchgears already installed in MV networks, i.e. the capacitive dividers of the voltage detecting systems (VDS). Model of line to shield power line communication system on a Medium Voltage network

In this paper a complete model of a power line communication (PLC) system on a Medium Voltage (MV) network is presented in the case of a line-ground configuration. A simple and friendly Simulink (R) software is used to develop the model. A distributed parameter MV cable model in line-ground configuration is considered together with the power transformers, the signal coupling networks and the receiving and transmitting line coupling interface of a ST7540 FSK powerline transceiver. The performances of the complete PLC communication system are evaluated for different line lengths by means of the attenuation computed as ratio between the received and transmitted voltage signals.

Science can be seen as a sequential process where each new study augments evidence to the existing knowledge. To have the best prospects to make an impact in this process, a new study should be designed optimally taking into account the previous studies and other prior information. We propose a formal approach for the covariate prioritization, i.e., the decision about the covariates to be measured in a new study. The choice of computers been made according to a minimax: one chooses the most powerful computer in the less powerful category. We show here that, in a simple case, if one takes into account the time of equipment utilization, this rule can be given in cause. We study then a case more complicated including some technical parameters like the case of multiprocessor machine and including other human parameters like the intensity of task submission.

This paper purports to shed light on primary school teachers’ initial training in the field of creative writing, rewriting and rough draft practices. It analyses a corpus of various pieces of writing by school children and trainee teachers, collected through the implementation of a teaching unit using authors’ and children’s literature writers’ drafts and working documents with children aged 8-11 (CE2-CM) on the one hand, and with trainee teachers on the other. W niniejszym opracowaniu zostały podjęte dwie kwestie związane z udzielaniem pomocy osobom pokrzywdzonym przestępstwem, świadkom oraz osobom im najbliższym. Pierwsza dotyczy analizy skuteczności transpozycji do polskiego porządku prawnego Dyrektywy Parlamentu Europejskiego i Rady 2012/29/UE z dnia 25 października 2012 r. ustanawiająca normy minimalne w zakresie praw, wsparcia i ochrony ofiar przestępstw. Autor stwierdza, że generalnie implementacja nastąpiła prawidłowo, choć pewne wątpliwości budzi przyjęta definicja osób najbliższych wobec ofiar pozostających we wspólnym pożyciu, co pozwoli na uniknięcie luki prawnej w tym zakresie.
