Latviešu apguvēju pareizrakstības kļūdas franču valodā: Franču valodas centralizētā eksāmena rakstiskās daļas analīze

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noteikt latviešu apguvēju raksturīgākās pareizrakstības kļūdas franču valodā kā svešvalodā. Pētījuma pirmajā daļā tiek izpētīta franču valodas pareizrakstība. Tās ietvaros tiek aplūkota saikne starp franču valodas mutisko un rakstisko aspektu, tāpat arī tiek analizēta franču valodas pareizrakstība un tās īpatnības. Darbā fokuss tiek likts uz pareizrakstības kļūdu klasificēšanas problēmu, tiek aplūkoti galvenie iemesli, kuru dēļ valodas apguvēji pieļauj kļūdas. The ultimate goal of learning algorithms is to find the best solution from a search space without testing each and every solution available in the search space. During the evolution process new solutions (children) are produced from existing solutions (parents), where new solutions are expected to be better than existing solutions. This paper presents a new parent selection method for the crossover operation in genetic programming. The idea is to promote crossover between two behaviourally (phenotype) diverse parents such that the probability of children being better than their parents increases. Need for speed? Exploring the relative importance of patents and utility models among German firms

Despite the wide use of two-tiered patent systems (patents and utility models (UMs)), there is little empirical evidence about how often UMs are actually used, what kind of firms use them to protect their intellectual property, and how firms rank them relative to patents. We offer such an analysis using data from Germany. We find that larger firms are more likely to use both protection methods. Moreover, a short life cycle of products and services is associated with an increased likelihood to use UMs. The features and functioning of the German UM system are of broader interest because it has been a benchmark for several second tier patent protection systems around the world. peerReviewed
Distinctive Lexical Patterns in Russian Patient Information Leaflets: A Corpus-Driven Study

This methodologically-oriented corpus-driven study focuses on distinctive patterns of language use in a specialized text type, namely Russian patient information leaflets. The study’s main goal is to identify keywords and recurrent sequences of words that account for the leaflets’ formulaicity, and - as a secondary goal - to describe their discoursal functions. The keywords were identified using three methods (G2, Hedges’ g and Neozeta) and the overlap between the three metrics was explored. The overlapping keywords were qualitatively analyzed in terms of discoursal functions. La ciencia ficción y la enseñanza de las ciencias

Este trabajo constituye una primera aproximación a la ciencia en la ciencia ficción desde el punto de vista del alumnado y qué posibilidades ofrece como recurso didáctico. Sondeamos, por tanto, si los alumnos conocen y han visto cine de ciencia ficción, así como si este factor influye en sus actitudes hacia la ciencia y los científicos y su opinión sobre las consecuencias de los avances científicos en el futuro. Asimismo, nos planteamos si los estudiantes perciben las visiones deformadas de la ciencia y los científicos que transmite el cine de ciencia ficción. Pretendemos, asimismo, estudiar si se utiliza la ciencia ficción como recurso didáctico.

Kieliopilla on keskeinen asema englantia vieraana kielenä opiskeltaessa ja rakenteiden tuntemus on osa vieraiden kielten opetussuunnitelmaa. Menetelmät, joilla kielioppia opetetaan, ovat laajalti opettajien itse päätettävissä ja opetusmenetelmien kirjo on valtava. Opetus voi olla hyvinkin opettajakeskeistä ja tyyliltään luennoivaa tai puolestaan hyvin toiminnallista ja oppilaslähtöistä sekä kaikkea tältä väliltä. Tämä tutkielma toteutettiin kuvailevana tapaustutkimuksena, johon osallistui yksi englantia vieraana kielenä opettava alakoulun opettaja sekä hänen oppitunnillaan olleet 14 oppilasta.
