Synthesis, characterization and thermal behavior of nine new -type quaternary ammonium tetrafluoroborate or hexafluorophosphate salts prepared by met…

2008

Abstract Nine new quaternary ammonium tetrafluoroborate or hexafluoroborate salts were prepared from analogous bromide or chloride salts using anion exchange reaction in which the corresponding bromide or chloride salt was treated with HBF4 or HPF6 acid in aqueous solutions. The characterizations were performed by 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy as well as by elemental analysis. The single crystals of three tetrafluoroborate and two hexafluorophosphate salts were obtained by slow evaporation from a methanol/ethyl acetate solution and the crystal structures were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Four of the compounds crystallized in the orthorhombic and one in the monoclinic cr…

Synthesis of aryl azides: A probe reaction to study the synergetic action of ultrasounds and ionic liquids

2011

Abstract The combined effect of ultrasounds and ionic liquids was used to perform the synthesis of aryl azides by nucleophilic aromatic substitution in ionic liquid/[1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium][N 3 ] binary mixtures. The ultrasounds efficiency was analyzed as a function of the substrate and of the ionic liquid structure. In the first case, both 6π and 10π electrons aryl halides were considered. As far as the ionic liquid structure is concerned, both aromatic and aliphatic ionic liquids were taken into account. Among aromatic cations, the effects due to different ability in giving hydrogen bond or π–π interactions were considered. The use of a geminal ionic liquid having an aromatic spacer …

An exclusive approach to 3,4-disubstituted cyclopentenes and alkylidene cyclopentenes via the palladium catalyzed ring opening of azabicyclic olefins…

2013

A simple and efficient method for the stereoselective ring opening of bicyclic hydrazines with various aryl halides under palladium catalysis has been elaborated. The reactions afforded trans-3,4-disubstituted cyclopentenes or alkylidene cyclopentenes in good to excellent yields. By taking advantage of multiple points of functionalization in the synthesized trans-3-phenyl-4-hydrazino-cyclopentene, we have synthesized the antidepressant Cypenamine (trans-2-phenylcyclopentylamine).

Colorimetric sensing of anions by a neutral biphenyl based amide receptor

2006

A new colorimetric sensor for fluoride is described. Compound 1 shows an open structure and its behaviour is compared with that of two related closed compounds 2 and 3. In all cases, the red colour developed in the presence of fluoride can be related to deprotonation processes, however ligand 1 gives rise to a faster colour change than 2 or 3 because of its higher flexibility. Other halides as well as carboxylates have been studied and the stoichiometry and complexation constants for the corresponding ligands have been determined.

Formation of an unprecedented (CuBr)5 cluster and a zeolite-type 2D-coordination polymer: a surprising halide effect

2013

A unique pentanuclear cluster within a zeolite-type polymer ([Cu5(μ4-Br)(μ3-Br)2(μ2-Br)2](μ2-MeSPr)3)n (1; void space >81%) and a luminescent 1D ([Cu(μ3-I)]4(MeSPr)3)n polymer, 2, are formed when MeSPr reacts with CuBr and CuI.

Determination of Cl/C and Br/C ratios in pure organic solids using laser-induced plasma spectroscopy in near vacuum ultraviolet

2004

Several solid organic compounds containing bromine and chlorine were analyzed with laser-induced plasma spectroscopy. Emission lines were detected in the near vacuum ultraviolet spectral region by using a gas-purged spectrograph and an intensified charge-coupled device detector. The performance of this setup in the determination of the halides in the organic samples was evaluated. Carbon emission lines in the near vacuum ultraviolet were used as internal standards for the measurement of chlorine and bromine. Linear correlation was found between the carbon and halogen emission signal ratio and the corresponding atomic ratio of the compound.

Über gemischte gruppe 14-gruppe 14-bindungen

1993

Abstract The lead-tin compounds o-Tol6PbSn, o-Tol3PbSnPh3 and Mes3PbSnPh3 have been synthesized from Li and halide precursors in THF/ether at low temperatures. The crystal structures of the S4 symmetric o-Tol4Pb and of the three isomorphous title compounds have been determined (d(SnSn) 2.883 (1), d (PbSn) 2.845 (2), d (PbPb) 2.895 (2), A). The long SnSn distance is in accordance with the Raman data for the pairs of p-Tol6/o-Tol6 substituents (ν(SnSn) 131/123, ν(PbSn) 114/114, ν(PbPb) 105/103 cm−1). The sequence of the 119Sn and 207Pb chemical shifts shows clearly a polarity Pbδ−Snδ+ for all lead-tin compounds investigated. The 1J (119Sn207Pb) and 1J(119Sn119Sn) couplings of identi…

Identification and characterisation of the dopamine receptor II from the cat flea Ctenocephalides felis (CfDopRII)

2006

International audience; G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) represent a protein family with a wide range of functions. Approximately 30% of human drug targets are GPCRs, illustrating their pharmaceutical relevance. In contrast, the knowledge about invertebrate GPCRs is limited and is mainly restricted to model organisms like Drosophila melanogaster and Caenorhabditis elegans. Especially in ectoparasites like ticks and fleas, only few GPCRs are characterised. From the cat flea Ctenocephalides felis, a relevant parasite of cats and dogs, no GPCRs are known so far. Thus, we performed a bioinformatic analysis of available insect GPCR sequences from the honeybee Apis mellifera, the mosquito Anop…
