Associations of ofatumumab exposure and treatment outcomes in patients with untreated CLL receiving chemoimmunotherapy

Relationships between patient characteristics, ofatumumab pharmacokinetics, and treatment outcomes were investigated in this phase 2 trial of ofatumumab plus fludarabine and cyclophosphamide (FC) in untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Patients were randomized 1:1 to receive 500 or 1000 mg ofatumumab (Cycle 1; 300 mg) plus FC every 4 weeks for six cycles. Median C(max) and C(trough) values were similar at Cycle 1 regardless of the ultimate clinical outcome. At later doses, these values were higher for patients with complete response (CR) than for other patients. Yearly quotas and country-reserved shares in Italian immigration policy

Regular immigration to Italy is based on a quota system setting annual ceilings to legal entries. Reserved shares are granted to single countries or categories of countries. Reserved shares have been increased; they are used as an incentive to obtain the cooperation of countries of origin in stemming irregular migration flows. The total quota of regular immigration has gradually increased too. Still, it does not fully respond to the growing demand of foreign workers on the labour market, and quotas seem to be used as crypto-regularisations rather than as an instrument for regulating legal entries.

Analysing the relationships between elements of an enterprise's financial statements, especially between elements from the balance sheet and those from the profit and loss account, the rates of return adds greater utility to the consumers of financial information, offering the possibility to make comparisons over time and space as well as to make reference to internal and external rates. The homogenous mammalian order Lagomorpha comprises about 80 species in two families, Ochotonidae (pikas) and Leporidae (rabbits and hares). However, the phylogenetic relationships among leporids are controversial. Molecular data, particularly from mitochondrial sequences, give highly homoplasious signals. To resolve the controversy between mitochondrial and nuclear data, we analyzed genomic orthologous retroposon insertion sites, a virtually homoplasy-free marker system. Financial Globalization, Fiscal Policies and the Distribution of Income

This paper provides evidence that financial globalization—liberalization of the capital account—makes income distribution more uneven by raising the share of income that goes to the richest income deciles. We also offer evidence that changes in domestic fiscal policies in the aftermath of financial globalization are one channel through which these distributional effects could occur. Specifically, we show that episodes of capital account liberalization are followed by greater fiscal consolidation and reduced fiscal redistribution, both of which lead to increased inequality.
