Efficacy of Ethics Education in Library and Information Science

This work explains the need to adapt the content of ethics training programs in library and information science (LIS) studies to two fundamental aspects: the future professional requirements of students and the beliefs of the students in this field of study. A purely qualitative investigative strategy, including the use of vignettes, was employed to demonstrate that a theoretical-practical methodology of teaching-learning, supported by a combination of ethics theories and a model of ethical reasoning, changes the attitude of students, adapting individual and professional ethical values for the future exercise of the profession.

To speak about wine is obviously a sign of socialization, but is also a trend, which is part of the global interest in gastronomy. In order to build up discourses on wine, which heavily draw on marketing communication, referring to AOP and AOC labels and classifications does seem to be necessary but not sufficient, as the notion of ‘terroir’ has become prominent in many discourses and on a variety of media. A trie-based approach for compacting automata

International audience; We describe a new technique for reducing the number of nodes and symbols in automata based on tries. The technique stems from some results on anti-dictionaries for data compression and does not need to retain the input string, differently from other methods based on compact automata. The net effect is that of obtaining a lighter automaton than the directed acyclic word graph (DAWG) of Blumer et al., as it uses less nodes, still with arcs labeled by single characters.

L’exemple choisi pour cette mise en relation de données est le fromage, dont les différents paramètres et spécificités ont été renseignés dans l’ontologie.
