First Magnetostructural Study on a Heterodinuclear 2,2′-Bipyrimidine-Bridged Complex

2011

The use of the [ReCl(4)(bpym)] precursor as a ligand toward the fully solvated nickel(II) metal ion affords the first example of a 2,2'-bipyrimidine-bridged Re(IV)-Ni(II) complex, [ReCl(4)(μ-bpym)NiBr(2)(H(2)O)(2)] (1), whose intramolecular ferromagnetic coupling has been substantiated from both experimental and theoretical studies.

β‐Ketocarbonsäureester mit trans ‐Enolisierung

1986

Tellurium( II ) Dialkanethiolates: n p (S)‐σ*(Te−S′) Orbital Interactions Determine the 125 Te NMR Chemical Shift, and the Molecular and Crystal Stru…

2003

Tellurium(II) dimethanethiolate, Te(SMe)(2), and tellurium(II) diethanethiolate, Te(SEt)(2), were synthesized by reaction of TeO2 and Te(OiPr)(4) with HSMe and HSEt, respectively. In the solid state, Te(SMe)(2) exhibits a cis-conformation of the methyl groups with respect to the TeS2 plane - an unprecedented situation for nonfunctionalized organotrichalcogenides - whereas Te(SEt)(2) shows a trans-conformation. Ab initio calculations performed for Te(SMe)(2) and Te(SEt)(2) show that the cis- and trans-conformers represent minima on the potential energy surface and are stabilized by intramolecular pi-type n(S)-sigma* (Te-S') orbital interactions. In the solid state, the molecules of each comp…

Dinuclear, tetranuclear and one-dimensional pyrazine-based copper(II) complexes: preparation, X-ray structure and magnetic properties.

2009

The preparation, crystal structures and magnetic properties of the copper(II) complexes of formula [Cu(2)(tppz)(H(2)O)(2)(CF(3)SO(3))(4)] (1), [Cu(tppz)(CrO(4))](n) x 3nH(2)O (2) and [Cu(4)(tppz)(4)(H(2)O)(4)(MoO(4))(2)](CF(3)SO(3))(4) x 7 H(2)O (3) [tppz = 2,3,5,6-tetrakis(2-pyridyl)pyrazine] are reported. Complex 1 is a dinuclear species where tppz adopts a bis-tridentate bridging mode with an intramolecular copper-copper separation of 6.5221(6) A. Each copper(II) ion in 1 has an elongated octahedral geometry with three tppz nitrogen atoms and a water molecule in the equatorial positions and two triflate oxygen atoms occupying the axial sites. Complex 2 is a uniform copper(II) chain where…

Conformational Analysis of beta-Lactam-Containing Ferrocene Peptides

2009

The homochiral 3-amino-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-4-phenyl-beta-lactam (≡ Alm) was conjugated with Boc-Ala giving Ala-Alm (9) after Boc-deprotection (Boc = tert-butoxycarbonyl, Ala = alanine). Coupling of FcCOOH (1) and Boc-Fca (10) with “ dipeptide” 9 resulted in the formation of FcCO-Ala-Alm (12) and the trisamide Boc-Fca-Ala-Alm (13), respectively (Fc = ferrocenyl, Fca = 1’ -aminoferrocene-1-carboxylic acid). The reactions were accomplished by the HOBt/EDC procedure and the products were obtained in good yields (HOBt = 1-hydroxybenzotriazole, EDC = N-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-N’ -ethylcarbodiimide hydrochloride). Symmetrically 1, 1’ -disubstituted “ tetrapeptide” Fn(CO-Ala-Alm)2 (14) was prepared…

Electrochemically Induced Reversible and Irreversible Coupling of Triarylamines

2011

The electrochemical coupling and dimerization behavior of the low molecular compounds triphenylamine (TPA) and 9-phenylcarbazole (PHC) in comparison to tri-p-tolylamine (p-TTA) with para-blocked methyl groups has been investigated in detail. In contrast to the unsubstituted radical cations of TPA and PHC, the radical cations of p-TTA are stable in the radical cation state and do not undergo any further coupling reactions. However, we found that the dicationic state of p-TTA does undergo two different competitive reaction pathways: (1) an irreversible intramolecular coupling reaction which leads to phenylcarbazole moieties and (2) a reversible intermolecular dimerization leading to charged σ…

Polycondensed nitrogen heterocycles. Part 23. Pyrrolo[3,2-c]cinnolines by a japp-klingemann type reaction

1990

Pyrrolo[3,2-c]cinnoline derivatives were obtained by an unusual Japp-Klingemann reaction involving an intramolecular azadehalogenation on the pyrrole nucleus. Such an azadehalogenation represents the first example of Japp-Klingemann reaction in which the extrusion of positive chlorine ion is verified.

Polyhydroxylated indolizidine alkaloids-synthesis of dideoxycastanospermine

2009

The key transformation developed in this work is the anti-Kishi selective dihydroxylation, which proceeds by way of intramolecular participation of the nitrogen protecting group to furnish the desired stereochemistry required for castanospermine like structures. In this paper, we completed a first syn-thesis of a novel dideoxycastanospermine 6. Peer reviewed

Ring size control in diorganotin sulphides by intramolecular SnN coordination

1992

Abstract The synthesis of intramolecularly coordinated organotin sulphides, [(Me2N CH2CH2CH2)2SnS]n (1) and [Me2NCH2CH2CH2Sn(Ph)S]n (2), is described. Compounds 1 and 2 are dimers in chloroform solution (n = 2). Compound 1 forms a centrosymmetric dimer with a planar rectangular Sn2S2 four-membered ring in its centre. The tin atoms show a distorted trans-cis-cis octahedral coordination by 2C, 2N and 2S. The tin-nitrogen distances are 2.810(3) and 3.158(5) A. Compound 1 can be regarded as a model substance for nucleophilic attack at penta-coordinate tin centres. Although the degree of intramolecular coordination of nitrogen to tin is temperature dependent, the four-membered Sn2Sn2 ring remain…
