Laparoscopic lymph node dissection should be performed before fertility preserving treatment of patients with cervical cancer

Objective: The aim of this study is to assess our results of treatment of women with stage I cervical cancer > 2 cm in diameter seeking fertility preservation. Treatment consisted of Laparoscopic Pelvic and Paraaortic Lymphadenectomy (LPPLND), and when no nodal metastasis was detected, neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) followed by radical vaginal trachelectomy (RVT). Patients with positive lymph nodes underwent primary chemoradiation. Radical trachelectomy (RT) is a fertility-sparing procedure with the aim to provide adequate oncological safety to patients with cervical cancer while preserving their fertility. In the current review, indications, development of the procedure, technical aspects, preoperative and postoperative management, and oncological, fertility, and obstetric outcomes are discussed and studied with respect to whether the procedure is performed abdominally or vaginally. As compared to DNA-based approaches, in vitro-transcribed messenger RNA (mRNA) is a safer drug format due to the adjustable, transient expression and lack of genomic integration. Retrospektīvs pētījums par dzīvildzi resnās zarnas vēža II stadijā, atkarībā no ārstēšanas stratēģijas

Ievads: Adjuvanta ķīmijterapija pacientiem ar diagnosticētu II (UICC) stadijas resnās zarnas vēzi ir apsverama. Pacientu dalījums augsta un zema riska grupās, palīdz izlemt, vai pēc ķirurģiskas ārstēšanas ir indicēta ķīmijterapija, lai gan dzīvildzes ieguvumi nav ne plaši pētīti, nedz arī pierādīti. Tāpēc, autora mērķis šajā pētījumā bija salīdzināt piecu gadu dzīvildzi UICC II stadijas resnās zarnas vēža pacientiem, kuri saņēma adjuvantu ķīmijterapiju, un pacientiem, kuri ķīmijterapiju nesaņēma.
