Recent train accidents have reaffirmed the need for developing a rail defect detection system more effective than that currently used. One of the most promising techniques in rail inspection is the use of ultrasonic guided waves and noncontact probes. A rail inspection prototype based on these concepts and devoted to the automatic damage detection of defects in rail head is the focus of this paper. Ultrasonic guided waves (UGWs) are a useful tool in structural health monitoring (SHM) applications that can benefit from built-in transduction, moderately large inspection ranges, and high sensitivity to small flaws. This paper describes an SHM method based on UGWs and outlier analysis devoted to the detection and quantification of fatigue cracks in structural waveguides. Dalle indagini psico-sociali che presentano un monitoraggio della condizione giovanile nel nostro paese, emerge una difficoltà nei preadolescenti, negli adolescenti e nei giovani nel rapportarsi alla storia: una dispercezione della storia passata che tende a cancellare la memoria. Nel testo si propone di riprendere la categoria di risorgimento come atteggiamento adeguato per cogliere il senso del tempo e della storia: perché quanto non si è esplicato in tutte le sue potenzialità ed è rimasto virtuale possa ritornare in vita, in nuove forme inedite. Abstract The classification of dynamical data streams is among the most complex problems encountered in classification. This is, firstly, because the distribution of the data streams is non-stationary, and it changes without any prior “warning”. Secondly, the manner in which it changes is also unknown.
