The Internet has transformed everything. And the area of intellectual property and private international law are not exceptions. This paper examines how jurisdiction rules, initially designed for offline cases, are applied in the context of online trademark infringement. It has been found that differentiation should be made with respect to national trademarks and the EU ones - Brussels I Recast applies to the former and European Trademark Regulation to the latter. With national trademarks, the jurisdiction may be granted on the basis of defendant's domicile, place of registration, place of activation of infringing content and the place of access to it. Spectral preprocessing data and chemometric tools are analytical methods widely applied in several scientific contexts i.e., in archaeometric applications. A systematic classification of natural powdered pigments of organic and inorganic nature through Principal Component Analysis with a multi-instruments spectroscopic study is presented here. The methodology allows the access to elementary and molecular unique benchmarks to guide and speed up the identification of an unknown pigment and its recipe. Different regulatory models of transfer of industrial property rights in the Baltic States: A plea for harmonized approach

AbstractThe authors explore different models of transfer of industrial property on a comparative basis. The article demonstrates that these models differ on a country level and several models may be in use in one legal system. The authors analyze strengths and weaknesses and legal implications of these models in the three Baltic States both at the regulatory level and at the practical level through case studies. The authors conclude that would be preferable to use the model under which the register is vested with negative publicity and the transfer of ownership of industrial property is not made dependent on its recordation.

Šis bakalaura darbs pievēršas antropoloģijai Marksa agrīnajos tekstos. Tas lielākoties balstās 1844. gadā sarakstītajos “Ekonomiskajos un filosofiskajos manuskriptos”. Pēc īsas Marksa ideju salīdzināšanas ar Hēgeļa un Feierbaha idejām tiek izvērsts dzimtas būtnes jēdziens. Vēlāk tiek skaidrots, kā kapitālisma ekonomika ir kaitīga cilvēka spējām un interesēm. Visbeidzot šis darbs īsi apraksta to, kādi ir Marksa priekšstati par zinātni utopiskajā nākotnes sabiedrībā, kas nomainīs esošo.

Abstract The growth pattern of the Polish phytosaur Parasuchus cf. arenaceus and the aetosaur Stagonolepis olenkae (both Krasiejów; Norian) was studied. Results were compared to published data of other members of these two groups and to a new sample of the German (Heslach; Norian) phytosaur Nicrosaurus sp. All three herein studied taxa display lamellar-zonal bone consisting predominately of parallel-fibred tissue and on average a low to moderate vascular density. Towards the outer cortex the thickness of annuli increases in most samples and becomes distinctly wider than the zones.
