Donellanic acids A–C: new cyclopropanic oleanane derivatives from Donella ubanguiensis (Sapotaceae)

Abstract Three new cyclopropanic oleanane triterpenoids and ten known compounds were obtained from Donella ubanguiensis using chromatographic methods. The structures were established on the basis of mass spectrometric and NMR data and by comparison with values reported in the literature. The structures of the new compounds were confirmed by X-ray crystallography. A part of the isolated compounds was evaluated for cytotoxic and antimicrobial activities.

Abstract The complexes bis[triaqua(2-aminopyrimidine)-μ-sulphato-O,O′-cobalt(II)] dihydrate (1), catena-[diaqua(2(2-aminopyrimidine))-μ-sulphato-O,O′nickel(II)]2-amino-pyrimidine (2), [pentaaqua(2-aminopyrimidine)nickel(II)]sulphate 2-aminopyrimidine (3) and catena-[aqua(2(2-aminopyrimidine))-μ-sulphato-O,O′-copper(II)] dihydrate (4) were prepared, structure determined by X-ray methods and physical properties studied by magnetic, IR, NMR, EPR and reflectance methods. The thermal behaviour was studied by TG and mass spectrometric methods. The results are discussed on a structural basis.

Aus der Umsetzung von 2,4-Dichlor-6-(diallylamino)-1,3,5-triazin (1) mit langkettigen primaren (2a-b) und cyclischen sekundaren (2c-f) Aminen gehen die kernsubstituierten Chlor-diallylamino-1,3,5-triazine (3a-f) hervor. Ein fur Strukturtyp 3 charakteristischer ms Fragmentierungsweg beinhaltet die Umbildung der Diallylaminogruppe zum Aziridinring. Unter den neu entwickelten Verbindungen findet sich zentral dampfende Wirksamkeit besonders in 3a ausgepragt. Daruber hinaus weist Strukturtyp 3 Antiprotozoen-, anthelminthische und insektenwachstumsregulatorische Wirkung auf. Gas chromatographic and mass spectrometric characterization of the organic acids extracted from some preparations containing lyophilized royal jelly.

Thirty-five aliphatic acids were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry from the ether extract of commercial preparations containing lyophilized royal jelly. The article presents linear-programmed retention indices on capillary columns with non-polar and low-polar stationary phases and mass spectra for identified compounds which were not characterized earlier by these parameters. Nine compounds are reported for the first time as royal jelly constituents.

New 2-Methoxy Acetylenic Acids and Pyrazole Alkaloids from the Marine Sponge Cinachyrella sp.

Three new 2-methoxy acetylenic acids (1–3) and a known derivative (4), in addition to three new natural pyrazole alkaloids (5–7) were isolated from an Indonesian marine sponge of the genus Cinachyrella. Compounds 5 and 6 have previously been reported as synthetic compounds. The structures of the new compounds were established on the basis of one- and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy as well as by mass spectrometric data. The absolute configuration of the new acetylenic acid derivatives (1–3) was established by ECD spectroscopy. The regioselective synthesis of isomeric 5(3)-aminomethyl-3(5)-phenyl isoxazoles using different methods is described. Spectroscopic data, especially mass spectrometric fragmentation, were used to identify and characterize the regioisomers. The muscarinic activity of these isoxazoles was assayed on isolated guinea-pig ileum and atria as well as on isolated rabbit vas deferens. Inborn errors of metabolism are inherited biochemical disorders caused by lack of a functional enzyme, transmembrane transporter, or similar protein, which then results in blockage of the corresponding metabolic pathway. Taken individually, inborn errors of metabolism are rare. However, as a group these diseases are relatively frequent and they may account for most of neonatal mortality and need of health resources.
