International audience; This study was carried out in order to test the hypothesis of a right hemisphere dominance in the visual control of body balance. Eight healthy adults were subjected to a self-regulated lateral balance task, performed while sitting on a rocking platform. Four visual conditions were tested: open eyes with normal vision, closed eyes in the dark, left visual field-right hemisphere and right visual field-left hemisphere. International audience; This paper firstly introduces a wavelet-based segmentation for three-dimensional (3D) Semi-Regular (SR) meshes, as a pre-processing step, in a region-independent progressive coding algorithm. The proposed segmentation process aims at producing homogeneous regions with respect to their frequency amplitudes on the mesh surface, in other words: patches with different degrees of roughness. International audience; The adhesion of methyl ricinoleate droplets to cells of the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica was investigated. A new cytometric method, relying on the double staining of fatty globules with Nile Red and of cells with Calcofluor, enabled us to quantify methyl ricinoleate droplet adhesion to cells precultured on a hydrophilic or on a hydrophobic carbon source. In this last case, droplet adsorption was enhanced and a MATS (microbial adhesion to solvents) test revealed that this increase was due to Lewis acid-base interactions and not to an increase in the hydrophobic properties of the cell surface. International audience; We studied lymphocyte recovery in 88 children who consecutively underwent unrelated cord blood transplantation for malignant (n = 64) or nonmalignant (n = 24) diseases. All children but 3 received myeloablative conditioning regimens with pretransplant antithymocyte globulin. Median age was 5.6 years (0.1-18 years) and median follow-up was 40 months (10-136 months). The median dose of infused viable CD45(+) cells (vCD45) was 3.35 × 10(7)/kg with a ratio infused vCD45/collected total nucleated cell at 0.46.
