ChemInform Abstract: Highly Enantioselective Aza-Henry Reaction with Isatin N-Boc Ketimines.

2014

The asymmetric aza-Henry reaction of isatin N-Boc-ketimines (I) with nitromethane in the presence of a Cu-Ph-box complex leads to a series of N-Boc-protected nitroamines (III) with high enantioselectivity in most cases.

ChemInform Abstract: Addition of Nucleophiles to Fluorinated Michael Acceptors.

2016

A series of nucleophiles, including primary and secondary amines, primary alcohols, and thiols, as well as diethyl malonate and nitromethane, were added to different fluorinated Michael acceptors including 2-fluoroalk-1-en-3-ones and 2-fluoro-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-one. The resulting β-substituted α-fluoro ketones were isolated in 34–92 % yield, depending on the substrate and the nucleophile. The best yields were obtained with secondary amines and with p-methylthiophenol.

Friessche Verschiebung vonortho- undpara-Methoxyphenylacetaten. Die Bildung von Ketoestern

1980

During theFries rearrangement ofo- andp-methoxy phenyl acetates with AlCl3 in nitromethane at 20°C substitution occurs mainly in thep-position of the phenolic residue to yieldp-acylphenols. Larger quantities ofo-acylphenols are obtained only, if thisp-position is already substituted. Witho-methoxy phenyl acetates the substitution of the acid residue to yield ketoesters is observed as a side reaction. Those ketoesters are obtained as main products if TiCl4 is taken as a catalyst.

Abstract. Proteins can be nitrated by air pollutants (NO2), enhancing their allergenic potential. This work provides insight into protein nitration and subsequent decomposition in the presence of solar radiation. We also investigated light-induced formation of nitrous acid (HONO) from protein surfaces that were nitrated either online with instantaneous gas-phase exposure to NO2 or offline by an efficient nitration agent (tetranitromethane, TNM). Bovine serum albumin (BSA) and ovalbumin (OVA) were used as model substances for proteins. Nitration degrees of about 1 % were derived applying NO2 concentrations of 100 ppb under VIS∕UV illuminated conditions, while simultaneous decomposition of (n…
