Photochemotherapeutic heterocyclic agents having antiproliferative and antineoplastic activity

The present invention concerns the synthesis of new analogs of angelicins, pyrrolo[3,2-h]quinoline, for the treatment of pathologie having hyperproliferative character including those having neoplastic nature. The treatment is based on the combined action of pyrrolo[3,2-h]quinolines and UV-A light, through a clinical approach defined as PUVA (psoralen-UVA light). The most important feature of these compounds is that they exert their remarkable phototoxicity without any DNA damage, which is the main origin of the side effects of the PUVA therapy

Early osteoarthritis (EOA) still represents a challenge for clinicians. Although there is no consensus on its definition and diagnosis, a prompt therapeutic intervention in the early stages can have a significant impact on function and quality of life. This study examines animal rights activism in Finland. Since 1995, when the first public acts of animal liberation in Finland took place, animal rights activists have made up one of the most debated Finnish social movements. In this research, I study animal rights activism as a phenomenon and as a form of political action. The study approaches the issue by applying the concepts of political style and cultural othering as analytical tools. The study is empirical and bases its analysis on qualitative methodology, especially content analysis. I interviewed activists in 2000-2002 and again in 2015. Ce bassin de population, marqué par des contraintes fortes, est un véritable espace vécu dans le sens où il est structuré par des aires de recrutement résultant des pratiques spatiales des élèves et de leurs familles. Une étude approfondie des structures et des dynamiques spatiales de ce bassin permet de tirer quelques leçons quant au fonctionnement d'un territoire scolaire.

Conforming to and resisting imposed identities : An autoethnography on academic motherhood

Purpose This research attempts to make sense of the experiences of two academic women who become mothers. Design/methodology/approach This paper is an autoethnography. Applying the autoethnographic method allows us to discuss cultural phenomena through personal reflections and experiences. Our autoethnographic reflections illustrate our struggles and attempts of resistance within discursive spaces where motherhood and our identity as academics intersect. Findings Our personal experiences combined with theoretical elaborations illuminate how the role of the mother continues to be dominated by such gendered discursive practices that conflict with the work role.
