The rational self-assembly of mono-lacunary Keggin clusters with 4d and 4f metal salts via a conventional method has yielded two novel polyoxometalate-based 4d-4f heterometallic compounds containing lacunary Keggin anions connected to ten metal atoms: {[Ag{Ag2(H2O)4}{Ln(H2O)6}2H ⊂ {SiW11Ln(H2O)4O39}2]·nH2O (Ln = Ce and n = 7 for 1, Ln = Pr and n = 3 for 2). Their structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and further characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, and thermogravimetric (TG) analyses. A novel two-dimensional coordination polymer of the formula [Co(dca)2(atz)2]n (1) resulted from assembling trans-bis(2-amino-1,3,5-triazine)cobalt(II) motifs by dicyanamide spacers. Variable-temperature dc and ac magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 show that the high-spin cobalt(II) ions act as single ion magnets (SIMs).
Oxidomolybdenum(VI) complexes with atrane-type [O3N] ligands

Abstract Dioxomolybdenum(VI) complex [MoO 2 Cl 2 (dmso) 2 ] reacts with a series of tetradentate O 3 N-type aminoalcohol–bisphenol ligands to form oxomolybdenum(VI) complexes of type [MoOCl(L n )]. The reaction of H 3 L 1 produces [MoOCl(L 1 )] as two separable isomers, whereas the reaction of H 3 L 2 or H 3 L 3 yields a single product. The X-ray analyses of cis - and trans -[MoOCl(L 1 )] reveal that the complexes are formed of monomeric molecules. The ligands have tetradentate coordination through three oxygen donors and one nitrogen donor, which is located trans to the terminal oxo group. The sixth coordination site is occupied by a chloro ligand.

Social defeat and subordination as models of social stress in laboratory rodents: A review

This paper is a review of the main research topics currently investigated in laboratory rodents using the stress of defeat or subordination as ethologically relevant models of social stress. First, the main characteristics of the resident/intruder paradigm and the colony models are given. Second, a general description of the behavioral, neuroendocrinological, physiological, neurochemical, neurological, and immunological responses found with these models, and their temporal dynamics, are discussed. Inseparably interwoven are three independent polymeric diamond-type U(P2 S6 )2 frameworks in the structure of the title compound. The linear P2 S6 units act as molecular rods linking the pseudotetrahedral U4+ centers. U(P2 S6 )2 may be viewed as a coordination polymer which is formed from U/P/S melts by the solid-state equivalent of the self-assembly reactions in solution.
Solvent-Induced Delamination of a Multifunctional Two Dimensional Coordination Polymer

A coordination polymer is fully exfoliated by solvent-assisted interaction only. The soft-delamination process results from the structure of the starting material, which shows a layered structure with weak layer-to-layer interactions and cavities with the ability to locate several solvents in an unselective way. These results represent a significant step forward towards the production of structurally designed one-molecule thick 2D materials with tailored physico-chemical properties.
