Change management in the entrepreneurial Latin‐American organizations: an overview

Purpose – The purpose of this article is to provide an introduction to the papers presented in the special issue.Design/methodology/approach – Six papers are included in the special issue and an overview of their content is given.Findings – Alteration in markets that is brought about by economic, political and cultural changes often makes it difficult for business organizations to adapt to new circumstances. The papers focus, in a Latin American context, on how technological networks are changing the business world, the role of entrepreneurialism, and the positive effects of change management.Originality/value – The article introduces the six original and well‐presented papers.

Objeto: El objetivo del presente artículo es conocer si existen diferencias en las variables que explican la intención de emprender de los estudiantes universitarios de Ciencias de la Actividad Física y el Deporte atendiendo a la formación y al género de éstos. Diseño/metodología: Para conocer las intenciones de emprender y las distintas variables relacionadas con el emprendimiento se utilizó un cuestionario previamente validado. Purpose: To identify the current research trends regarding knowledge transfer and the university-business relationships during the period 2013-2016 in the journals indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge. Daily deliberative dissonance acting among police officers.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to gain insight into the relationships of daily deliberative dissonance acting (DDA) with daily strain and daily work engagement. DDA refers to the deliberate acting of emotions to achieve one's work goals. The authors hypothesized that daily DDA would be positively related to strain through feelings of emotional dissonance. Attraction factors of shopping centers: Effects of design and eco-natural environment on intention to visit

Purpose People visit malls not only to buy a product they need but also to enjoy the atmosphere or environment of the shopping center. Based on design and eco-natural environment, the purpose of this paper is to analyze the attraction factors of shopping centers. Development of trust in the CEO-chair relationship

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the trust development in the dyadic relationship of CEO and chair of the board. Design/methodology/approach A narrative approach is adopted to examine the meanings that CEOs and chairpersons give to trust in their relationship, and to explore trust as an evolving phenomenon that can increase or decline over the course of the relationship. The data include 16 CEO-chair dyads from Finnish limited companies.
