The Math Teaching at School means to reflect on the pedagogical and didactical traditions that are present in the classroom didactical practice; cultural references emerging since the first years of the kindergarden. This work claims to discuss a possible epistemic reflection on our way of working in School through a possible comparison with a didactic setting very different from ours, the Chinese one. We present the practice of variation, that can be found in textbooks as a significant methodology for the teaching/learning of the mathematical thought at Kindergarten and Primary School.
Emma's mathematical thinking, problem solving and affect

International audience; This paper aims to understand one pupil's mathematical thinking through problem solving and mathematics related affect. The results reveal a successful, though quite unsure, problem solver whose affective state (connected to problem solving) seems to tell the same story as her affective trait (view of mathematics). The differences between results on affective state and trait seem to be connected mostly to emotions.

Despite the positive aspects of information technology (IT) use, it is common for users to experience negative IT incidents. Examples of negative IT incidents include getting lost in an unfamiliar country due to a dysfunctional map application and missing a monetary insurance benefit due to the failure of an activity tracker application. Such incidents can harm IT providers by giving rise to user dissatisfaction, discontinued use, switching, and negative word-of-mouth. To minimize this harm, it is important to understand how users cope after negative incidents. Modelling Environmental Problem-Solving Through STEAM Activities : 4Dframe's Warka Water Workshop

In this paper the Korean 4Dframe educational modelling kit’s rich capacities are presented within a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) education workshop. The workshop is an adaptation of the Warka Water social design project, launched by the architect Arturo Vittori in response to Ethiopia’s diminished sources of drinking water. Participants of the workshop will study the geometry of the Warka Water tower and understand its water harvesting technique, which is based on collecting water from the air. peerReviewed

Desgaste psíquico y problemas de salud en estudiantes de psicologia

El objetivo del estudio fue analizar los niveles de Desgaste psíquico y Desencanto en estudiantes de Psicología, la Sobrecarga y su relación con los Problemas de salud. Participaron 154 estudiantes universitarios de Psicología de 3º (48%) y 4º (52%) grado. Desgaste psíquico y Desencanto se evaluaron mediante el Cuestionario para la Evaluación del Síndrome de Quemarse por el Trabajo, Problemas de salud mediante una escala de once ítems y Sobrecarga mediante un ítem. Los estudiantes de cuarto percibían significativamente mayores niveles de Sobrecarga, Desgaste psíquico y Desencanto que los de tercero.
