L’eco mediatica che ha accompagnato la recente cattura di Bernardo Provenzano, induce ad un’attenta riflessione sull’effettivo ruolo svolto dal capo mafia corleonese all’interno dell’organizzazione criminale e nel nostro immaginario. Ma richiede anche un ripensamento sul significato attribuito alla parola mafia, spesso utilizzata in forme estensive e a-specifiche che ne amplificano o sottovalutano la reale portata, rendendo approssimativi e sfuggenti l’analisi e gli interventi. Da qui i rischi, quanto mai attuali, di forme di mitizzazione, fondate su letture apologetiche, su ottiche difensive, su strumentali omissioni.

Cell-average WENO with progressive order of accuracy close to discontinuities with applications to signal processing

In this paper we translate to the cell-average setting the algorithm for the point-value discretization presented in S. Amat, J. Ruiz, C.-W. Shu, D. F. Y\'a\~nez, A new WENO-2r algorithm with progressive order of accuracy close to discontinuities, submitted to SIAM J. Numer. Anal.. This new strategy tries to improve the results of WENO-($2r-1$) algorithm close to the singularities, resulting in an optimal order of accuracy at these zones. The main idea is to modify the optimal weights so that they have a nonlinear expression that depends on the position of the discontinuities. Pētījuma mērķis: Izpētīt 5-6 gadus vecu bērnu vārdu krājuma bagātināšanas iespējas, izmantojot didaktiskās spēles. Pirmsskolas vecumā galvenais mācību darbības veids ir rotaļa. Rotaļu, spēļu laikā bērns iegūst jaunas zināšanas, prasmes, attieksmes. Bērns didaktisko spēļu laikā mācās apgūt jaunus vārdus, darina jaunus vārdus, domā teikumus, stāstus, tātad - mācās. A highly stable and hierarchical tetrathiafulvalene-based metal organic framework with improved performance as a solid catalyst

[EN] Herein we report the synthesis of a tetrathiafulvalene (TTF)-based MOF, namely MUV-2, which shows a non-interpenetrated hierarchical crystal structure with mesoporous one-dimensional channels of ca. 3 nm and orthogonal microporous channels of ca. 1 nm. This highly stable MOF (aqueous solution with pH values ranging from 2 to 11 and different organic solvents), which possesses the well-known [Fe3(¿3-O)(COO)6] secondary building unit, has proven to be an efficient catalyst for the aerobic oxidation of dibenzothiophenes.

Vengono presentati i risultati del 29°anno della rete di prove di confronto tra ibridi di sorgo da granella condotte nel 2012 1n due località italiane del Centro-nord ed in due del del Centro-sud. Nonostante l'andamento climatico particolarmente sfavorevole, alcuni ibridi hanno raggiunto produzioni areiche di sicuro interesse.

Development of an improved method for trace analysis of quinolones in eggs of laying hens and wildlife species using molecularly imprinted polymers.

A sensitive, selective, and efficient method was developed for simultaneous determination of 11 fluoroquinolones (FQs), ciprofloxacin, danofloxacin, difloxacin, enrofloxacin, flumequine, marbofloxacin, norfloxacin, ofloxacin, oxolinic acid, pipemidic acid, and sarafloxacin, in eggs by molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) and column liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS). Samples were diluted with 50 mM sodium dihydrogen phosphate at pH 7.4, followed by purification with a commercial MIP (SupelMIP SPE-Fluoroquinolones).
