Among the dits of Guillaume de Machaut consecrated to animal figures, the Dit dou lyon deserves a new ecdotic and critical study. It is a narrative work dating back to 1342, consisting of more than two thousand octosyllabes and transmitted by eleven manuscripts (14th-15th centuries), which contain Machaut’s works and almost all accompanied by a rich iconographic apparatus. Coincidence and common fixed points of weakly reciprocally continuous and compatible hybrid mappings via an implicit relation and an application

Using the hybrid version of the notion of weakly reciprocal continuous mappings due to Gairola et al. [Coincidence and fixed point for weakly reciprocally continuous single-valued and multi-valued maps, Demonstratio Math. (2013/2014), accepted], we prove a coincidence and common fixed point theorem for a hybrid pair of compatible mappings via an implicit relation. Our main result improves and generalizes a host of previously known theorems. As an application, we give a homotopy theorem which supports our main result.

Identifying Finnish Children’s Impulsivity Trajectories From Kindergarten to Grade 4: Associations With Academic and Socioemotional Development

Research Findings: The purpose of this study was to identify the developmental trajectories of impulsive behavior among 378 Finnish children who were followed from kindergarten to fourth grade. In addition to ratings of children’s impulsivity, the analyses included measures of motivation, cognitive skills, socio-emotional adjustment, and teacher–student relationship. The Analysis of the Digital Economy and Society Index in the EU

Abstract The paper analyzes the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), which characterizes the development of digital economy. Based on the data of 28 European countries for 2013–2018, using the panel regression, we studied the influence of the consumption index growth by the purchasing power parity and unemployment among the active population on the structural units of DESI. It is shown that a 1% increase in the consumption index results in about 0.2 increase in the DESI, and an increase in unemployment by 1% leads to about 0.2 DESI decline. Parenthood and gender inequality : Population-based evidence on the child penalty in Finland

This study presents evidence on the effect of parenthood on labor market outcomes in Finland. We use population-based data drawn from administrative registers and an event study design centered around the birth of the first child using the specification proposed in Kleven et al. (2019b). The study confirms that women encounter large short- and long-term child penalties in gross labor earnings and that penalties are associated with employment participation. Taxes and social security transfers considerably reduce the child penalty, which also varies by the number of children. peerReviewed
