cis-[Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane-κ2P,P′]dichlororuthenium(II) dichloromethane disolvate

2006

The title compound, cis-[RuCl2(C26H24P2)2]·2CH2Cl2, was obtained as an unexpected product from our attempts to prepare new ruthenium molecular wires using organic bridging ligands. Three solvates and a solvent-free structure of the isomeric complex with the chloride anions in a trans geometry have already been reported, while the cis isomer has been described only in solution studies prior to this work.

Dihydrogen complexes of metalloporphyrins: characterization and catalytic hydrogen oxidation activity

1992

A series of monometallic dihydrogen complexes of the type M(OEP)(L)(H{sub 2}) (M = Ru, Os; L = THF, *Im) was synthesized and characterized by {sup 1}H NMR. The H-H bond length was found to increase when Os was replaced by Ru or when *Im was replaced by THF. The bond distances (as determined by T{sub 1}) range from 0.92 to 1.18 {angstrom}. The first example of a bimetallic bridging dihydrogen complex, Ru{sub 2}(DPB)(*IM){sub 2}(H{sub 2}), was also prepared. The H{sub 2} ligand is simultaneously bound to both Ru-metal centers. High-field {sup 1}H NMR experiments (620 MHz) revealed a -7.37 Hz dipolar splitting of the H{sub 2} ligand for this complex. Analysis of this splitting suggests that th…

Dual-emitting Langmuir-Blodgett film-based organic light-emitting diodes.

2010

Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films containing alternating layers of the metallosurfactants bis(4,4'-tridecyl-2,2'-bipyridine)-(4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine) ruthenium(II)-bis(chloride) (1) and bis[2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridine](4,4'-dinonadecyl-2,2'-bipyridine)iridium(III) chloride (2) have been prepared. Langmuir monolayers at the air-water interface of 1 and 2 with different anions in the subphase have been characterized by pi-A compression isotherms and Brewster angle microscopy (BAM). The transferred LB films have been characterized by IR, UV-vis and emission spectroscopy, and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Electroluminescent devices formed by LB films containing alternating layers of thes…

La tradizione costruttiva degli edifici di culto in legno lituani tra XVIII e XIX secolo

2014

Lithuania is situated in a highly forested Northern Europe area and has a variety of wooden buildings. These buildings are still mostly prevalent in villages and towns as well as in large cities, intimately related with landscape and nature, most of which had been realized in 18th and 19th centuries. Among the wooden structures we enumerate the religious buildings, churches and bell towers, rich of historic values, presenting different forms and sizes, a complex design and stratified construction phases. The wooden buildings realized in the 18th century are rich of historical and stylistic references with the other European countries: in these churches we can find the perfect representative…

Bimodal tracers synthesis for medical imaging PET/MRI

2015

Today physicians can use a wide variety of medical imaging techniques to establish early and accurate diagnosis. Nevertheless, each modality has its own advantages and drawbacks. This is why bi- or multimodality approach seems interesting. Among them, PET/MRI combination seems very promising because it can bring complementary informations. It is therefore necessary to inject to patients tracers specific to each imaging modality. This work described the synthesis of molecular platforms for MRI and PET imaging, according to 2 different strategies. The first one consisted in the synthesis of a DO3A macrocycle allowing the chelation of both gadolinium for MRI and gallium 68 for PET. The aim her…

Chlorophyll a Fluorescence Emission, Xanthophyll Cycle Activity, and Net Photosynthetic Rate Responses to Ozone in Some Foliose and Fruticose Lichen …

2000

The lichens Parmelia quercina, Parmelia sulcata, Evernia prunastri, Hypogymnia physodes, and Anaptychia ciliaris were exposed to ozone (O3) in controlled environment cuvettes designed to maintain the lichens at optimal physiological activity during exposure. Measurements of gas exchange, modulated chlorophyll (Chl) fluorescence, and pigment analysis were conducted before and after exposure to 300 mm3 (O3) m−3, 4 h per d for 14 d. No changes in the efficiency of photosystem 2 (PS2) photochemistry, the reduction state of QA, or the electron flow through PS2, measured by Chl fluorescence, were detected in any of the five lichen species studied. Additionally, neither photosynthetic CO2 assimila…

Responses of citrus plants to ozone: leaf biochemistry, antioxidant mechanisms and lipid peroxidation.

2006

The effects of ozone upon 3-year-old trees of Clementina mandarin (Citrus clementina Hort. ex Tan.) cv. Marisol exposed for 12 months to ambient (10 nl l(-1)) and high (30 and 65 nl l(-1)) concentrations in open top chambers (OTCs) were investigated. The data showed that in leaves, ozone reduced total chlorophylls, carotenoid and carbohydrate concentration. and increased 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (ACC) content and ethylene production. In treated plants, the ascorbate leaf pool was decreased, while lipid peroxidation and Solute leakaGe were significantly higher than in ozone-free controls. The data indicated that ozone triggered protective mechanisms against oxidative stress in c…
