Effects of hydrogen-charging on the properties of S235JR steel

The paper presents the test results of the S235JR steel susceptibility to damage under the influence of hydrogen. The test of mechanical properties was performed on the basis of a static stretch test of non-hydrogenated samples and after cathodic polarization. Electrochemical measurements for the assessment of corrosion resistance of non-hydrogenated and hydrogenated steels were carried out using open circuit potential measurement and registering of potentiodynamic polarization curves in a three-electrode measuring system. Suction controlled drying and wetting cycle effects on the volumetric behaviour of a lime-treated high plasticity clay

The paper presents some experimental results collected on samples recovered from an experimental embankment obtained by compacting a lime-treated clay. Samples were collected soon after the in situ compaction and they were cured in controlled environmental conditions for at least 18 months. Mercury intrusion porosimetry tests (MIP) were carried out on freeze-dried specimens to characterize the microstructure of the material. The single-ring pressure infiltrometer (PI) method is widely used to determine saturated soil hydraulic conductivity, K s , directly in the field. Generation of Natural Runoff Monthly Series at Ungauged Sites Using a Regional Regressive Model

Many hydrologic applications require reliable estimates of runoff in river basins to face the widespread lack of data, both in time and in space. A regional method for the reconstruction of monthly runoff series is here developed and applied to Sicily (Italy). A simple modeling structure is adopted, consisting of a regression-based rainfall–runoff model with four model parameters, calibrated through a two-step procedure. Monthly runoff estimates are based on precipitation, temperature, and exploiting the autocorrelation with runoff at the previous month. How hotel websites may discursively adjust to customer preferences using online criticism

This paper explores discursive ways in which hotels may improve their own websites using online criticism to adjust to customer preferences. To this end, a combined method was used, consisting of a netnographic approach (Kozinet, 2010; Mkono, 2011, 2012) together with an interpersonal discourse framework (Hyland, 2008) applied to e-tourism genres (Suau-Jiménez, 2012, 2016). Four hotel websites, together with 200 corresponding negative reviews from TripAdvisor, were diachronically analyzed to identify common topics.
