In mathematics education, technology offers many opportunities to enrich curricular contents. Plane symmetries is a topic often skipped by primary teachers. However, it is important and may be worked in attractive ways in dynamic geometry software environments. In any regular classroom there are students with different levels of mathematical attainment, some needing easy tasks while others, particularly mathematically-gifted students, need challenging problems. Purpose This study reviews the literature on business-school (b-school) competition and competitiveness to extend our understanding of b-schools’ competitive strategies. Design/methodology/approach Both content and network analysis were used in the examination of the scholarly discourse. Findings The analyses distinguish three literature streams. The first concentrates on resources, capabilities and competencies; the second focuses on measures of competitiveness; and the third includes competitive dynamics and strategy discourse. Konkordances atbalstīta angļu valodas kā svešvalodas apguve vidusskolas skolēniem

Mūsdienu pasauli raksturo tehnoloģiju straujā attīstība, kā arī angļu valodas kā lingua franca statusa nostiprināšanās. Diplomdarba mērķis ir atrast rīku, kas nodrošinātu jauniešiem nepieciešamās svešvalodas prasmes. Pētījumā tika ievākti dati no 203 anketām un piecām intervijām ar mērķi noskaidrot vidusskolas skolēnu valodas apguves ieradumus. Pētījums atklāja, ka vidusskolas skolēni savā ikdienā plaši pielieto tehnoloģijas un ir atvērti tehnoloģijās balstītai svešvalodas apguvei. Tādēļ izaicinājumi, kurus rada angļu valodas kā svešvalodas apguve, piemēram, gramatika, idiomas un pareizrakstība, varētu tikt risināti ar tehnoloģiju starpniecību. Cet article présente les débats autour du choix de l'école qui prennent place aujourd'hui, de plus en plus souvent, dans les pays étrangers, ainsi que les politiques qui ont été mises en place. Ces politiques, autant que les justifications idéologiques et théoriques qui les fondent, apparaissent de fait très variées. On examine également ce que l'on sait, au vue des recherches disponibles, de l'effet de ces politiques, sur l'efficacité et l'équité des systèmes éducatifs, résultats assez contrastés, et très dépendants des dispositifs concrets de choix retenus dans les divers pays. Heparan sulfate levels in mucopolysaccharidoses and mucolipidoses.

Glycosaminoglycans are accumulated in both mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and mucolipidoses (ML). MPS I, II, III and VII and ML II and ML III patients cannot properly degrade heparan sulphate (HS). In spite of the importance of HS storage in the metabolic pathway in these diseases, blood and urine HS levels have not been determined systematically using a simple and economical method. Using a new ELISA method using anti-HS antibodies, HS concentrations in blood and urine were determined in MPS and ML II and ML III patients. Szeroka definicja malarstwa religijnego pozwala na odnalezienie wielu punktów stycznych między szkolną katechezą i wychowaniem plastycznym. Zasadniczy problem tekstu można wyrazić w pytaniu: Jakie obrazy są wykorzystywane we współczesnych materiałach do szkolnego nauczania religii na poziomie gimnazjalnym? Malarstwo religijne obecne jest w wielu szkolnych podręcznikach.
