This Handbook is the result of several conversations and activities that took place during a blended in-service teacher education course “Everyday Creativity – Boosting the internal creative resources of European schools with Finnish models of education for creativity”. Virtual Distance Lessons in Secondary School Teachers Continuous Education

The paper provides an overview of organization principles of interactive distance teaching as well as its implementation for continuous education course for bilingual education teachers of 6 programme’s subjects. Distance teaching sessions were organized in 10 school’s computer classes. There are considered possible solutions for interactive distance learning classes. Lessons organization, based on the server’s remote session control is described. It is arranged participating teacher survey regarding usability of applied environment and made conclusions about appropriateness of developed approach.

The article discusses the phenomenon of new media discourse permeating the language of written assignments produced in official school situations. The analysis of pupils’ essays concentrates on the colloquialisms transferred from social media discourse into the lexical layer of school writing. The author has assumed that the analysis will enable identifying educational barriers experienced by the new generation of pupils. The language of the texts under analysis combines the styles of written assignments, informal speech and of socialmedia discourse.
