Family members bereaved by their loved ones’ suicidal death normally undergo a complicated and lengthy bereavement process. In this qualitative case study, we explored longitudinal changes in the suicide bereavement process by applying assimilation analysis, based on the Assimilation Model (AM) and the Assimilation of Problematic Experiences Scale (APES), to longitudinal interview data collected from two Chinese suicide-bereaved individuals within the first 18 months after their loss. Muotoilun arvoa on mitattu yleensä lopputulosta ja ulkoisia hyötyjä arvioiden. Se, miten muotoilija itse määrittelee työnsä tavoitteet, on jäänyt vähäisemmälle huomiolle. Tässä tutkielmassa esitetään mittauskehikko muotoilijoiden omalle työlleen asettamien tavoitteiden mittaamista, kuvailua, vertailua ja toimialan kehityksen seurantaa varten. We investigated the longitudinal associations of blood pressure, cardiorespiratory fitness, and arterial stiffness among children. Arterial stiffening has been repeatedly shown to be a cardiovascular mortality predictor and can be observed early in childhood. As such, it is crucial to understand whether a child’s blood pressure, fitness level, and body composition can predict early signs of atherosclerosis and arterial stiffening. The antifungal secondary metabolite (+)-caripyrin was studied by vibrational circular dichroism spectroscopy. Analysis of the recorded data, with the Boltzmann weighted-average of the spectra calculated at the B3LYP/6-311G(d,p) level of theory for all relevant conformers, unequivocally proved the (R,R)-configuration for the dextrorotatory natural product. Based on this finding, a short enantioselective synthesis of (+)-caripyrin was developed.
Theoretical and Experimental Study of Polarization Modulation Instability in All-Normal Dispersion Photonic Crystal Fibers

Experimental observation of polarization modulation instability in all-normal dispersion photonic crystal fibers is reported. Stokes and anti-Stokes sidebands with spectral shift of 40 nm were observed when the fiber was pumped at 1064 nm. Experimental results are baked by a vectorial four-wave mixing model.
