Boosting organizational learning through team-based talent management: what is the evidence from large Spanish firms?

Talent management (TM) can crucially help optimize organizational learning (OL) processes. The aim of this article is to study whether certain TM practices related to teamwork design and dynamics stimulate and develop learning (i.e. knowledge creation) processes within the organization and across the different ontological levels (individual, group and organizational–institutional). A model linking team-based TM and OL is tested in a sample of large Spanish companies. Most scholarship in modern organization theory maintains a near-exclusive focus on private-sector settings. In contrast, this article argues that complex public-sector organizational systems – such as the European Union (EU) – can provide a very relevant laboratory to both fine-tune organization theoretical propositions and test them empirically. The Case for Regulating Huawei

Huawei’s growth overseas has paralleled that of China Inc ( Li and Farrell, 2020 ). Through favorable policies such as the Belt and Road Initiative, China has paved the way for Chinese multinationals to capture global markets, acquire and exploit new technologies, and have privileged access to local resources. In turn, Huawei has played an important role in the development of China Inc., its technological capabilities and global diplomatic relations. But Huawei plays by a different set of rules: it has been accused of unfair and illegal practices, and for breaking international norms. This perspective explores the need for regulatory oversight of Huawei.
