Ataluren was reported to suppress nonsense mutations by promoting the readthrough of premature stop codons, although its mechanism of action (MOA) is still debated. The likely interaction of Ataluren with CFTR-mRNA has been previously studied by molecular dynamics. Abstract This paper presents an index that measures reviewer contribution to editorial processes of scholarly journals. Following a metaphor of ranking algorithms in sports tournaments, we created an index that considers reviewers on different context-specific dimensions, i.e., report delivery time, the length of the report and the alignment of recommendations to editorial decisions. To test the index, we used a dataset of peer review in a multi-disciplinary journal, including 544 reviewers on 606 submissions in six years. Unconventional monetary policy reaction functions: evidence from the US

Abstract We specify unconventional monetary policy reaction functions for the Fed using linear and nonlinear econometric frameworks. We find that nonstandard policy measures are largely driven by the dynamics of inflation and the output gap, with the effect being particularly strong during QE rounds. Moreover, we uncover the presence of asymmetry and regime dependence in central bank’s actions since the global financial crisis, especially concerning the response of the term spread and the shadow short rate to the growth rate of central bank reserves. Regional Susceptibility in VCD Spectra to Dynamic Molecular Motions

Experimental and theoretical studies of the vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) spectrum of 3-methyl-1-(methyldiphenlsilyl)-1-phenylbutan-1-ol, whose absolute configuration is key to elucidating the Brook rearrangement of tertiary benzylic α-hydroxylsilanes, are presented. It is found that the entire OH-bending region in this spectrum—a region that provides important marker bands—cannot be reproduced at all by standard theoretical approaches even though other regions are well described. Determination and separation of diarylheptanoids from alder growing in Latvia

The composition of diarylhepatnoids fraction isolated from bark of two alder species (grey alder and black alder) was studied. The efficiency of three extraction methods used for isolation of diarylhepatnoids from alder bark was compared. Two diarylhepatnoids: 1,7-bis-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-heptan- 3-one-5-O-β-D-xylopyronoside (oregonin) and 1,7-bis-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-hydroxyheptane-5-O-β-D- xylopyranoside were isolated from the bark of grey alder. Radiation therapy can modulate anti-tumour immune responses, modifying tumour and its microenvironment. Past literature recognizes the power of the well-established information systems continuance theory (ISCT) to explain information systems (IS) continuance. In this study, we integrate constructs from two additional perspectives and discuss their interdependencies with ISCT. We argue that the promising framework proposed by Sorebo et al. [1], which extends ISCT with self-determination theory (SDT), can increase its managerial relevance by adding the variables of users' perceptions of goal divergence and risk aversion, selected from agency theory.
