Maģistra darbā tiek detalizēti un pilnīgi apskatīts un aprakstīts spēles izstrādes process. Procesa apskats notiek strukturēti, to iedalot trīs etapos – plānošanas, ražošanas un uzturēšanas, katru no šiem etapiem iedalot smalkākos, atbilstoši izstrādes procesa specifikai. Darbā tiek sniegts izstrādes procesa plānošanas etapa rezultātu piemērs uz izstrādājamās spēles pamata. Kā arī spēles konceptuāls un detalizēts projektējums un sākotnējās prototipēšanas etapa rezultātu apkopojums. Incorporating stand level risk management options into forest decision support systems

Aim of study: To examine methods of incorporating risk and uncertainty to stand level forest decisions. Area of study: A case study examines a small forest holding from Jonkoping, Sweden. Material and methods: We incorporate empirically estimated uncertainty into the simulation through a Monte Carlo approach when simulating the forest stands for the next 100 years. For the iterations of the Monte Carlo approach, errors were incorporated into the input data which was simulated according to the Heureka decision support system. The influence of platform switching in dental implants. A literature review.

Introduction: The platform switching concept involves the reduction of the restoration abutment diameter with respect to the diameter of the dental implant. In 1991, dental implants of 5 and 6 mm diameter platforms were introduced. However, matching-diameter prosthetic abutments were not available. These implants were restored with “standard”-diameter prosthetic components (4,1 mm). Long-term follow up around these wide-platforms showed higher levels of bone preservation. A new analytical method for the determination of four hydroxylated benzophenone UV filters (i.e. 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone (HMB), 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone (DHB), 2,2'-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone (DHMB) and 2,3,4-trihydroxybenzophenone (THB)) in sea water samples is presented. The method is based on dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) followed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) determination. Formal operations and postformal reasoning: A replication

The relationship between formal operations and postformal reasoning was examined by using the Shayer (1978) chemicals problem to assess formal operations and the Commons, et al. (1982) four-story problem to measure postformal reasoning. The subjects were 35 undergraduate social science and humanities students. None of the subjects who were classified as concrete operational or transitional on the chemicals task showed postformal reasoning. The hypothesis that full format operations are a necessary condition of post-formal reasoning and the expectation that subjects showing full formal operations are more likely than others to exhibit postformal reasoning was not supported.
