Kielentämisen näkökulmia kuudennen luokan oppilaiden matematiikan sanallisten tehtävien ratkaisuihin

2022

Artikkelissa tarkastellaan kuudennen luokan lopussa oppilaiden tuottamia ratkaisuja kahteen sanalliseen ongelmanratkaisutehtävään. Matematiikan opetuksessa olisikin hyvä ohjata oppilaita ilmaisemaan matemaa…

Science education and the “state of the world”: a programme of activities to enhance teacher’s perception of global problems and possible remedies

2003

SELFIE for Teachers: autoriflessione sulla competenza digitale degli insegnanti

2022

Is individual- and school-level teacher burnout reduced by proactive strategies?

2021

There is provisional evidence that burnout may be contagious within professional communities via the crossover effect, referring to an inter-individual transmission of stress or strain. However, our understanding of effective means for tackling stressors is scarce. We tested a two-level path model to explore the interrelation between teachers’ proactive self- and co-regulative strategies and experienced burnout. The study sample comprised 1531 Finnish in-service teachers from 75 schools. The results showed that burnout symptoms varied both between individual teachers and between professional communities. Self- and co-regulative strategies serve partly different functions in regulating teach…

Comparing male and female students’ self-efficacy and self-regulation skills in two undergraduate mathematics course contexts

2018

International audience; Students' efficacy beliefs have a positive influence on students' academic achievement and retention, especially for female students. These beliefs are closely linked to students' ability to regulate their learning. In this quantitative study, students' self-efficacy and self-regulation of learning are compared in two university mathematics courses that differ in content but also in their pedagogical setting: one is a more traditional lecture-based course, and the other course is taught with the Extreme Apprenticeship (XA) method. The analysis is based on the same cohort of students in the two contexts (N=91). The results suggest that students have higher self-effica…

Autoefficacia e resilienza del docente universitario

2023

In the field of university teaching, many research highlights that the role of the university teacher acquires a different connotation than the traditional model, assuming today the function of guide, accompanist, facilitator and mentor (Kim, Khera & German, 2014; Sultan, 2018). The research aims to provide theoretical references on the quality of teaching in universities and teacher training, to improve it, in a research report agile stimulating interpretation of results, useful within a TLC (Teaching and Learning Center). Taking about the recent results of the reference literature, we want to verify if the effectiveness of innovative teaching interventions (Flipped and Service Learnin…

Skolotāju dzīvesspēka veicināšana palikšanai profesijā

2021

TEACHER AUTHORITY IN SCHOOL

2019

The purpose of education is to initiate the young into the different ways in which, over the centuries, men have organized their experience and understanding of the world. This initiation depends upon the ability of teacher to explain and inspire, and on the willingness of the young to engage in this enterprise with a proper humility. The discussion on the role of authority in knowledge development and the subject of lack of teacher's authority is in great tension. The role of the teacher has changed, authority, a fundamental part of the teaching–learning process, is a problematic and questioned by society, the media, parents and students. Due to the fact that the teacher is in the role of …
