In changing work contexts, there is a critical need to adopt practices that support professional identity work in order to promote individuals’ resilience and well-being at work. This chapter reports on an investigation into professional identity work and emotions in the context of an arts-based coaching program aimed at prompting experienced university teachers to process their professional identities. Since different (un)pleasant emotions emerged during the program, the chapter notably discusses the advantages and pitfalls of using arts-based methods among adults. Quality assurance of decision-making in conversations between professionals and non-professionals: identifying the presence of deliberative principles

The ideal of dialogue is at stake in professional conversations. The aim of this study is to develop an instrument that makes it possible to compare principles of deliberation with what actually takes place in professional conversations. The developed instrument is tested on one patient's conversation with his doctor about lifestyle changes, and meetings where pupils with learning disabilities and their parents discuss further schooling with school representatives. Although in need of refinement, the conclusion is that the instrument provides meaningful insight into how much each participant 'contributes' to the decision-making process and 'behaves' during the conversation.
Eritrean teachers' perceptions of learner-centred interactive pedagogy

In most sub-Saharan African countries, mainstreaming learner-centred interactive pedagogy (LCIP) is defined as a policy priority. Similarly, Eritrea has adopted the same policy to seek a solution to its educational challenges. Rather than rote mastery of course content, the LCIP approach prioritises learners in constructing knowledge through interaction, active participation and controlling the learning process. Se presenta el proceso de diseño y validación de un cuestionario para conocer el nivel de competencia mediática del profesorado universitario. El análisis de validez y fiabilidad se realizó en dos fases distintas para garantizar la consistencia del instrumento: validación por método Delphi y análisis psicométrico, en una muestra piloto internacional de 260 docentes. In this work, the competences in ICT of teachers are studied, in particular the relationship between the technological competences and the pedagogical competences. Resumen: El diseño universal para el aprendizaje (dua) ha sido estudiando en los últimos años como modelo para responder a la diversidad en el aula. Sin embargo, hay pocas investigaciones que proporcionen datos sobre su eficacia. El objetivo de este artículo es validar una herramienta que permita evaluar las percepciones basadas en dua de los profesionales, a través del análisis factorial confirmatorio de una muestra de 230 profesionales.
