Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Mācību metožu izvēle matemātikā 10. klasei, balstoties H. Gārdnera daudzveidīgo inteliģenču teorijā”. Teorētiskajā daļā apkopotas mācību metodes atbilstoši 7 inteliģencēm, bet pētnieciskajā daļā tās ir iekļautas mācību procesā ar mērķi pārbaudīt to labvēlīgo ietekmi uz mācību sasniegumu uzlabošanos. Darbs sastāv no 3 nodaļām – teorētiskā apskata, metodoloģijas un pētījuma daļas. Tajā iekļautas 9 tabulas, 12 attēli, 17 literatūras avoti.

The event 'School adopts an experiment' is an event targeted at high schools and secondary schools. It is based on a tight and direct collaboration between researchers and school students and teachers. Several schools were involved in the event by 'adopting' an experiment in physics research laboratories. Groups of selected students were first trained by university researchers, then they demonstrated the experiments to other students and teachers during the event. We report a laboratory activity, carried out along with high- and secondary-school students, that can be done to increase the interest of the young in scientific studies. Groups of selected students ‘adopted’ experiments at physics research laboratories, under the guidance of university researchers. Subsequently, the students demonstrated the experiments to the public at large during the annual science festival organized in Palermo by the association PalermoScienza, in collaboration with the University of Palermo. An inquiry-based approach to Maxwell distribution: a case study with engineering students

The concept of distribution is a fundamental component of statistical thinking. This paper describes a teaching approach for it that uses a specific activity related to the field of statistical mechanics. The concept of the velocity distribution of a particle system is dealt with using an inquiry-based approach involving an experimental examination of Maxwell’s distribution. Some outcomes of a teaching experiment held at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Palermo, Italy are described.

The Boltzmann factor is the basis of a huge amount of thermodynamic and statistical physics, both classical and quantum. It governs the behaviour of all systems in nature that are exchanging energy with their environment. To understand why the expression has this specific form involves a deep mathematical analysis, whose flow of logic is hard to see and is not at the level of high school or college students' preparation. Este estudio propone la implementación de una secuencia didáctica para facilitar el aprendizaje de los conceptos de sustancia, sustancia simple y compuesto en educación secundaria. Para su elaboración se ha partido del análisis histórico y las concepciones alternativas más frecuentes de los estudiantes respecto a estos conceptos. The online resource Wikipedia is increasingly used by students for knowledge acquisition and learning. However, the lack of a formal editorial review and the heterogeneous expertise of contributors often results in skepticism by educators whether Wikipedia should be recommended to students as an information source.
