Eye Movement Analyses for Obtaining Readability Formula for Latvian Texts for Primary School

To determine the difficulty of text, readability formulas can be used. The research was made to find readability formula for Latvian. Readability formulas for English were used as guidelines. The novelty was the use of eye movement tracking during reading to obtain quantitative data that lead to readability formula. Eye fixation durations were gathered during readability measurements. Average values of fixation durations were calculated to characterize texts and readers. 15 texts with various difficulty levels were composed for exposing them to readers. Darba tēma: Rakstīšanas traucējumu mazināšana 1.klases skolēniem ar nepietiekami attīstītu fonemātisko uztveri. Diplomdarba mērķis ir teorētiski izzināt par fonemātisko uztveri, tās traucējumiem un to novēršanu un praktiski pētīt teorijā gūtās atziņas. Tādējādi iegūts priekšstats par pētāmo problēmu. Darba pirmajā daļā ir analizēta rakstīšanas traucējumu teorētiskais aspekts, pētot gan rašanās cēloņus, iemeslus, iedalījumu, rakstīšanas iemaņu pārbaude, kā arī konkrētais vecumposms problēmas sakarā. A search for the production of three massive vector bosons in proton–proton collisions is performed using data at TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in the years 2015–2017, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 79.8 fb−1. Events with two same-sign leptons ℓ (electrons or muons) and at least two reconstructed jets are selected to search for . Events with three leptons without any same-flavour opposite-sign lepton pairs are used to search for , while events with three leptons and at least one same-flavour opposite-sign lepton pair and one or more reconstructed jets are used to search for . A measurement of off-shell Higgs boson production in the and decay channels, where ℓ stands for either an electron or a muon, is performed using data from proton–proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of TeV. The data were collected by the ATLAS experiment in 2015 and 2016 at the Large Hadron Collider, and they correspond to an integrated luminosity of . An observed (expected) upper limit on the off-shell Higgs signal strength, defined as the event yield normalised to the Standard Model prediction, of 3.8 (3.4) is obtained at 95% confidence level (CL). Darba mērķis ir pētīt Ogres apdzīvotās vietas saimniecisko, sabiedriski-kulturālo un kūrorta izaugsmes attīstību, ņemot pamatā darbā iekļautās hronoloģiskās robežas no 1918. līdz 1940. gadam. Pētījuma gaitā tiek aplūkoti dati par Ogres demogrāfiskajiem rādītājiem, dots ieskats Ogres sabiedrības pilsoniskajās aktivitātēs un pilsētas saimnieciskajās nozarēs. Multitemporal and multiresolution leaf area index retrieval for operational local rice crop monitoring

Abstract This paper presents an operational chain for high-resolution leaf area index (LAI) retrieval from multiresolution satellite data specifically developed for Mediterranean rice areas. The proposed methodology is based on the inversion of the PROSAIL radiative transfer model through the state-of-the-art nonlinear Gaussian process regression (GPR) method. Landsat and SPOT5 data were used for multitemporal LAI retrievals at high-resolution. LAI estimates were validated using time series of in situ LAI measurements collected during the rice season in Spain and Italy.
