Elaborar una ecuación de predicción de legibilidad válida para la estimación de dificultad de los textos escritos en Lengua castellana, aplicando el procedimiento Cloze de Taylor como medida de comprensión lectora. Selección de 150 textos siguiendo una serie de criterios en cuanto a estructura narrativa, unidad de contenido, extensión entre 250 y 550 palabras. Se incluyen textos escolares, obras literarias, lecturas infantiles, antologías, prensa y reader's digest. La submuestra se compone de 1500 alumnos de octavo y séptimo de EGB de la Universidad Laboral de Cheste, Valencia, del curso 1978-1979. The present paper aims to describe both synchronic and diachronic distributions of the habitual aspectual periphrasis ‘saber + infinitive’ in the varieties of Spanish spoken in the South American continent. The data used for the present analysis come from the Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual and the Corpus del Español del Siglo XXI.

The article presents new compound words, which are frequently a verbal component of internet polycode texts, i.e. demotivators. Demotivators, i.e. pictures combining graphics or photo and ironie commentary, were at first a response to motivational posters, whose task was to encourage people to work or learn. In the virtual world demotivators comment on current events or mock everyday nonsense. They are such a solidified genre that some of the commentaries used in demotivators can be perceived as phraseological neologisms.

The current study examines the role of action-depicting gestures in conversational turns by focusing on their semantic characteristics and temporal position in relation to their verbal affiliates (action verbs or more complex verb phrases). Šis pētījums ir solis ilgstošā darbā, un tas sniedz ieskatu joku analīzē Britu situāсiju komēdijās un priekšlikumus tālākiem pētījumiem humora izpētes jomā. Darba mērķis ir īstenot joku analīzi divās situāсiju komēdijās. Pētījumā izmantotā metodoloģija balstās galvenokārt uz Vispārējo Verbālā Humora Teoriju, kas saskaņā ar tās autoriem ir piemērojama jebkura veida tekstiem. Šis pētījums neapstrīd minēto apgalvojumu, bet drīzāk pielieto Vispārējo Verbālā Humora Teoriju joku salīdzinošai analīzei situāсiju komēdijās.
