Orbscan Pachymetry: Differences between observers when carrying out measurements of the corneal thickness

espanolObjetivo: Estudiar el espesor corneal y la variabilidad entre observadores de las mediciones del espesor corneal empleando paquimetria Orbscan. Metodos: Analizamos el espesor corneal central y paracentral de 30 sujetos (n=30) cuya edad oscilaba entre 19 y 38 anos (media 27,27 D.E. 5,25) con el Sistema Topografico Orbscan II (Orbscan, Inc., Salt Lake City, UT, USA). La media de cinco mediciones consecutivas del espesor corneal fue obtenida por dos diferentes observadores. Los resultados obtenidos por los dos observadores se compararon. In this study a complete set of dosimetric data for the GammaMed high dose rate (HDR) 12i and Plus 192 Ir sources are presented. These data have been calculated by means of the Monte Carlo simulation code GEANT3. Absolute dose rate distributions in water are presented as conventional two dimensional (2D) Cartesian look-up tables, and in the TG43 formalism.

Integrated geomorphological mapping in the north-western sector of Agrigento (Italy)

The geomorphological map is an essential tool to perform a proper urban planning in mountainous or hilly areas. In this paper a multidisciplinary approach to derive a 1:2000 geomorphological map is described. The proposed methodology consists of the integration between aerial photographs, acquired in 2003, and four datasets of Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) measures to update a pre-existing landslide inventory. Somatic stem cells can be found in many rapidly regenerating tissues, e.g., the skin, gastrointestinal mucosa, and hematopoietic system, but are also present at low numbers in non-regenerative organs such as the heart and brain. In these organs, somatic stem cells aid in normal tissue homeostasis and repair after injury as well as self-renewal and the generation of specific progenitor cells during differentiation. Analisi di alcuni passaggi del Poenulus plautino e riflessione sui pregiudizi contro i Punici raccolti ed elaborati dalla tradizione comica. Nel saggio si mette in luce la particolare prospettiva teatrale adottata da Plauto, che, pur recuperando gli stereotipi anti-cartaginesi, squaderna taluni preconcetti e apre, proprio durante il periodo delle guerre puniche, uno spazio di approfondimento interessante sulla percezione dell'altro: anche al nemico è riconosciuta generosità e grandezza d'animo.
