Hg2+ and Cu2+ selective detection using a dual channel receptor based on thiopyrylium scaffoldings

2009

2,4,6-Triphenylthiopyrylium functionalized with an aza-oxa-thia macrocycle is able to selectively recognize Hg2+ cation by a color change and Cu2+ cation by a remarkable significant emission enhancement.

Improved routes for the synthesis of face-to-face bismacrocycles in porphyrin and corrole series

2005

Face-to-face bismacrocycles involving porphyrinoid species are still of great interest owing to their versatile properties. Despite the fact that their syntheses generally involve several steps, numerous modifications have been made in their synthetic pathways thus allowing their preparation in gram quantities. Here we report on recent improvements we could propose especially for the synthesis of bisporphyrin, biscorrole and porphyrin-corrole derivatives.

Synthetic and Biological Applications of Fluorous Reagents as Phase Tags

2011

The search for new and better techniques for the purification of organic compounds has made the recent emergence of fluorous chemistry in the field of organic synthesis possible. Using fluorous reagents as phase tags allows for the access of different synthetic routes, and this has been translated into a time reduction and higher simplicity compared to standard, nonfluorous procedures. The synthesis in fluorous phase of target molecules can be pursued in a parallel or combinatorial manner in order to access chemical libraries with structural and/or stereochemical diversity. The preparation of radiolabeled molecules also benefits from the advantages of fluorous synthesis. Finally, biochemica…

Efficient preparation of 4-methoxy-5,6-dihydro-2H-pyran

2008

Abstract We report the efficient synthesis of 4-methoxy-5,6-dihydro-2 H -pyran (MDHP) via the TiCl 4 driven elimination of MeOH from 4,4-dimethoxytetrahydropyran. The previous difficulty of preparing MDHP restricted the wider use of 4-methoxytetrahydropyran-4-yl (MTHP) acyclic acetals, which have desirable protecting group properties when compared to more commonly used MOM- and THP-acetals. The behaviour of the elimination on related acetals is also examined.

ChemInform Abstract: Synthesis of New Bis(tetrahydropyrrolo[3,4-b]carbazoles) with a Functionalized Diaryl Spacer.

2010

Some new bis(tetrahydropyrrolo[3,4-b]carbazoles) were synthesized by Diels–Alder reactions of in-situ generated indole-2,3-quinodimethanes with a variety of bismaleimides as dienophiles and also by reaction of dianilines with a succinic acid anhydride group incorporated into a biscarbazole. In a special reaction a spermine linker was introduced. The new biscarbazoles represent potential DNA ligands for the development of new antitumor active drugs.

Efficient palladium catalyzed synthesis of heteroaromatic sulfoxides

2007

Abstract The present Letter describes the efficient synthesis of novel heteroaromatic sulfoxides by means of a palladium catalyzed heteroarylation of sulfenate anions. Triazolopyridine, pyridine and thiophene sulfoxides can be obtained under mild conditions and in high yield from the corresponding heteroaryl bromides.

Large-Scale Synthesis of Mammalian Gonadoliberin without protection of side-chain functions

1991

A simple, Large-scale preparation of mammalian gonadoliberin was elaborated using classical solution methods without protecting side-chain functions. At the final stage, a hexapeptide segment was condensed with the corresponding tetrapeptide and the obtained decapeptide was purified by a single chromatographic procedure on silica gel. The total efficiency of the whole synthesis and the purity of the product amounted to 34% and 98.3%, respectively.

BODIPY Dyes Functionalized with Pendant Cyclic and Acyclic Polyamines

2013

The synthesis and characterization of a series of BODIPY derivatives substituted with acyclic and cyclic polyamines, in particular, cyclen and homocyclen, are reported. The 19F NMR, UV/Vis, and fluorescence spectroscopic data of these compounds are discussed. One compound was found to be very selective for CuII ions, which makes it a very promising system for CuII detection.

Mild and efficient 64Cu labeling of perhydro-1, 4-diazepine derivatives for potential use with large peptides, proteins and antibodies

2020

Abstract DATA (6-Amino-1,4-diazapine-triacetate) and AAZTA (6-Amino-1,4-diazapine-tetracetate) chelators represent a novel approach representing hybrid-chelates: possessing significant cyclic and acyclic character. It is believed that flexibility of the acyclic part facilitates rapid complexation, whilst the preorganized cyclic part minimizes the energy barrier to complexation and inhibits decomplexation processes. So far, these chelators have been used exclusively with 44Sc and 68Ga only. Recent results with natCu predict high stabilities for Cu-AAZTA, yet no radioactive labeling of AAZTA or DATA with 64Cu or any additional radioactive isotope has been reported. We present the one pot synt…
