About ten years ago the Linguistic Atlas of Sicily (ALS) adopted the dictionary-atlas tool. When the rich onomastic universe began to be investigated its use was also evaluated on three different oral corpora: one relating to the popular forms of the toponymic heritage (DAToS Dictionary-toponymic atlas of Sicily) one concerning the plural inventory of ethnic nicknames (DASES Dictionary-atlas of ethnic nicknames in Sicily) the latest afferent to the popular individual and family anthroponomastic heritage (DASS Dictionary-atlas of the nicknames of / in Sicily). About the regulations of the societas quaestus - referable to the societas universorum quae ex quaestu veniunt and to the societas unius alicuius negotiationis and unius rei - the interpretative efforts of the Roman jurists were given profusely since the end of the republican age. The scientific monograph puts itself on the traces of identifying the notion of quaestus (gain) with particular reference to the inclusion within it of the so-called remuneration gifts. Furthermore it reconstructs the jurisprudential debate that aroses around the question of whether the socii - in the determination of the shares - had to respect a proportion with the contributions and in this sense with an attempt to explain the existing contrast between a passage from the Digest and one of the Iustiniani Institutiones. Moreover always with specific reference to the societas quaestus the monograph investigates the setting-up of the intempestiva renuntiatio supporting its origin out of the contrast between Proculiani and Sabiniani so far postulated in doctrine. Vapor−Liquid Equilibria for the Binary Systems tert-Butyl Alcohol + Toluene, + Isooctane, and + Methylcyclohexane at 101.3 kPa

Vapor-liquid equilibria were measured for binary systems of tert-butyl alcohol with toluene, isooctane, and methylcyclohexane at 101.3 kPa using a recirculating still. Experimental values of the vapor pressure of non-oxygenated pure components have been obtained. The accuracy of experimental measurements was ±0.01 K in temperature, ±0.01 kPa in pressure, and ±0.001 in mole fractions. The results are thermodynamically consistent according to the point-to-point consistency test. The data were correlated with five liquid-phase activity coefficients models (Margules, Van Laar, Wilson, NRTL, UNIQUAC).

When investigating the association between brain tumors and use of mobile telephones, accurate data on tumor position are essential, due to the highly localized absorption of energy in the human brain from the radio-frequency fields emitted. We used a point process model to investigate this association using information that included tumor localization data from the INTERPHONE Study (Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, and the United Kingdom). Atmospheric Deposition around the Industrial Areas of Milazzo and Priolo Gargallo (Sicily–Italy)—Part B: Trace Elements

The concentrations of trace elements in atmospheric bulk depositions (wet plus dry) were investigated from two highly industrialised areas of Sicily (southern Italy) from June 2018 to July 2019, in order to recognise the main natural and anthropogenic sources. A side objective of this study was to improve the common sampling procedures and analytical methods used for monitoring trace elements in atmospheric deposition.
