Bedringsprosesser i et hverdagsperspektiv : Hvilken betydning kan mestring av daglige aktiviteter ha for rusmiddelavhengiges vei mot rusfrihet og opp…

2017

Masteroppgave psykisk helsearbeid ME504 - Universitetet i Agder 2017 The World Health Organization expects mental illnesses, including drug addiction, to be the main cause of disease in Western countries by 2020. Recommended measures in order to meet these health challenges are facilitating recovery, empowerment, local services and social inclusion. The purpose of this study has been to investigate which importance coping with daily activities has for drug addicts in a rehabilitation phase. The study is qualitative with a phenomenological starting point. Through individual interviews with four drug addicts, we wanted them to describe their everyday life activities. The subjects were living …

Social Robots and Human Touch in Care : The Perceived Usefulness of Robot Assistance Among Healthcare Professionals

2019

Touching in care work is inevitable, particularly in cases where clients depend on nurses for many activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, lifting and assisting. When new technologies are involved in nurse–client relationships, the significance of human touch needs special attention. Stressing the importance of practitioners’ opinions on the usage of robots in care environments, we analyze care workers’ attitudes toward robot assistance in the care of older people and reflect on their ideas of the embodied relationship that caregivers and care receivers have with technology. To examine nurses’ attitudes toward care robots, we use survey data on professional care workers (n = …

Salt release monitoring with specific sensors in "in vitro" oral and digestive environments from soft cheeses

2012

International audience; The objective of the present work is to demonstrate the interest and the feasibility of the measurement of NaCl concentrations in soft cheeses and in particular an in vitro digestion process by the use of chemical sensors. The analyzed matrices were the commercial Italian mozzarella cheeses and domestic cheese base models. The classification of mozzarellas was performed according to their salinity, while the breakdown of cheese base models has been followed both at initial steps of digestion in artificial mouth dispositive mimicking the oral sphere and in a gut-imitating digester (TIM-1). During the breakdown of soft cheese in the digester, the estimated values for N…

Cinisms mūsdienu pasaulē. Filozofiskais skatījums (Sloterdaiks un Žižeks)

2015

Maģistra darbā secināts, ka filozofu norādītie risinājumi, kas varētu atbrīvot indivīdu no kapitālisma ideoloģijas sistēmas, modernajā sabiedrībā nesasniegtu vēlamo rezultātu, tādejādi neatbrīvojot indivīdu no ciniskā vērojum…

Définir et comprendre l’ESS sur les territoires frontaliers franco-suisses :l’observatoire ESSpace

2022

The four Franco-Swiss chambers of the Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE) (Franche-Comté, Vaud, Rhône-Alpes and Genève) collaborated from 2012 to 2014 in an Interreg IV project, the purpose of which was to conduct "a collective reflection to support the development, enhance the value of good practices and social and solidarity initiatives from one region to another" (Project Summary Document, 2015). This reflection aims to understand together how the SSE is experienced in these territories, to explore the similarities, nuances and differences.A corpus of the various definitions of the actors themselves, and selected by these actors, was constituted and analysed according to the method of Co…

Effect of weather conditions on somatic cell score in Sicilian Valle del Belice ewes

2010

Mastitis susceptibility of Valle del Belice ewes from the south of Sicily to temperature, humidity, precipitation, solar radiation, sun hours, air pressure, wind-speed and wind-direction measured by a public weather station was investigated using 65,848 test-day somatic cell score (SCS) records of 5,237 ewes. All weather parameters had an effect on SCS in a regression approach. Extreme values of maximum and minimum temperaturehumidity indices resulted in increased SCS. Higher precipitation, solar radiation and sun hours resulted in increased SCS, whereas higher air pressure and wind speed resulted in reduced SCS.

Lin et lignes retissés : De la réappropriation de l’histoire dans « Cloth » de Rita Duffy et Paul Muldoon

2020

International audience; This paper focuses on Cloth, A Visual and Verbal Collaboration by Paul Muldoon and Rita Duffy. Muldoon’s poetic text and Duffy’s paintings were commissioned by the Millennium Court Arts Centre in Portadown in 2007 to feature in a collaborative exhibition and catalogue under the general banner “Interrogating Contested Spaces in Post-Conflict Society”. Duffy’s images and Muldoon’s prose poem – which subtly echo W.B. Yeats’s poem “Cuchulain Comforted” – are all about delineating and crossing borders between domestic and institutional spaces; personal and political spaces; garments, skin and psyche; violence and peace; etc. Duffy’s images of vestments, shirts or handkerc…
