Maģistra darba tēma ir sirds un asinsvadu slimību (SAS) riska faktoru izplatības izmaiņu tendences Latvijas iedzīvotāju populācijā 10 gadu laikā. Tēmas aktualitāti nosaka augstā SAS izplatība, kā arī tas, ka SAS ir vadošais priekšlaicīgas nāves iemesls pasaulē un Latvijā. Daudzos gadījumos sirds un asinsvadu slimības var novērst vai krietni attālināt, ievērojot veselīgu dzīvesveidu, kā arī savlaicīgi atklājot un ārstējot riska faktorus. Research on social networks and innovation emphasizes that individuals spanning structural holes and crossing institutional boundaries have more opportunities for knowledge recombination and innovation involvement. Pseudospectrum of Reissner-Nordström black holes: Quasinormal mode instability and universality

Black hole spectroscopy is a powerful tool to probe the Kerr nature of astrophysical compact objects and their environment. The observation of multiple ringdown modes in gravitational waveforms could soon lead to high-precision gravitational spectroscopy, so it is critical to understand if the quasinormal mode spectrum is stable against perturbations. Znaczenie i rola witaminy D w praktyce farmaceutycznej

Pierwsze doniesienia o witaminie D pojawiły się w pierwszej połowie XX w. Jej odkrycie wywarło istotny wpływ na prewencję i leczenie krzywicy, a także umożliwiło poznanie i udokumentowanie roli w regulacji równowagi gospodarki wapniowo-fosforanowej. Dalsze doniesienia sugerują również inne istotne dla zdrowia właściwości witaminy D, w tym wpływ na układ mięśniowy, nerwowy, immunologiczny, krążenia, gospodarkę węglowodanową, otyłość, ryzyko wystąpienia chorób nowotworowych, a także (istotne dziś) zagadnienie wpływu na przebieg i zapadalność na COVID-19. Scattering of Co-Current Surface Waves on an Analogue Black Hole

We report on what is to our knowledge the first scattering experiment of surface waves on an accelerating transcritical flow, which in the analogue gravity context is described by an effective spacetime with a black-hole horizon. This spacetime has been probed by an incident co-current wave, which partially scatters into an outgoing countercurrent wave on each side of the horizon. The measured scattering amplitudes are compatible with the predictions of the hydrodynamical theory, where the kinematical description in terms of the effective metric is exact.
