Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II) mononuclear building blocks based on new polynucleating azomethine ligand : Synthesis and characterization
2017
Five new mononuclear complexes formed by the polynucleating ligand 2-[1-(3,5-dimethyl)pyrazolyl]-2-hydroxyimino-N′-[1-(2-pyridyl)ethylidene]acetohydrazide (HL): [Ni(L)(HL)]ClO4·2CH3OH (1), [Ni(L)2]·CH3OH (2), [Zn(L)(HL)]ClO4·2CH3OH (3), [Zn(L)2]·CH3OH (4) and [Cu(L)2]·CH3OH (5) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, mass-spectrometry, IR-spectroscopy and X-ray analysis. The complexes reveal distorted octahedral N4O2 coordination arrangement formed by both protonated and deprotonated (1, 3) or two deprotonated ligand molecules (2, 4, 5). The presence of non-coordinated oxime and pyrazole groups resulted in the formation of extensive systems of hydrogen bonds in the crystal…
Molecular Evolution of Lactate Dehydrogenase in the Developing Nervous Tissue*
1964
Publisher Summary This chapter describes both electrophoretic and catalytic studies on lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the developing brain. It has been found that the enzyme exhibits at birth a composition that gradually changes to attain the final pattern observed in the adult. The neurochemical findings on LDH isozymes parallel the rapid growth in the first days after birth. Isozyme E, which is not present in detectable amounts 2 days after birth, represents 15% of the enzyme on the 22nd day. Similarly, the percentage decrease of isozyme B is quite steep at the beginning. Nevertheless, the final pattern is attained only at the end of the 2nd month that is, when the cerebral cortex is full…
Crystal structure of C-2-benzo-thia-zole-N-methyl-nitrone.
2015
The molecule of the title compound {systematic name:N-[(benzothiazol-2-yl)methylidene]methylamineN-oxide}, C9H8N2OS, is close to planar [maximum deviation from the mean plane = 0.081 (2) Å], its conformation being stabilized by a strong intramolecular attractive S...O interaction [2.6977 (16) Å]. In the crystal, molecules are linked into centrosymmetric dimers by pairs of weak C—H...O hydrogen bonds.
New syntheses of condensed heterocycles from isoxazole derivatives. V. Pyrrolo[3,4-b]pyridin-4-ones
1977
Hydrogenolysis with Raney-Nickel or iron powder in acetic acid of 2,5-diphenyl-4-nitro-3-(3,5-R,R-4-isoxazolyl)pyrrolyl ketones, prepared by the Grignard reaction of 2,5-diphenylpyrrole and 3,5-R,R-4-isoxazolecarboxilic acid chlorides followed by nitration, afforded directly the desired 6H-pyrrolo[3,4-b ]pyridin-4-ones.
Studien zum Vorgang der Wasserstoffübertragung, 47.Elektroreduktion von 1,4-Benzoldicarbonitril, 1,4-Diacetylbenzol und Terephthalaldehyd
1978
Polyacroleins are completely degraded by the action of dilute hydrogen peroxide. Among the products of degradation carbon dioxyde, form…
New synthesis of condensed heterocycles from isoxazole derivatives VI. 2,5-Dimethyl-3-aeetyl-7-amino-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-b] pyridine
1978
A new synthesis of pyrrolo[3,2-b] pyridine starting with pyrrole ring is described. The procedure allows the synthesis of 4-azaindoles bearing a sensitive group at C-7. The nitration of 4b with nitric acid and acetic anhydride at −15° gave 5. The hydrogenation of 5 led to simultaneous reduction of N-hydroxy and nitro groups and to hydrogenolysis of the isoxazole nucleus, affording an appropriate chain of atoms to building up the pyrrolo[3,2-b] pyridine ring.
An Unexpected Three-Component Condensation Leading to Amino- (3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-1-ylidene)- acetonitriles
2004
The reaction of 2-carboxybenzaldehyde with primary amines in the presence of cyanide leads to the formation of 2-substituted amino(3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-isoindol-1-ylidene)acetonitriles. These compounds originate from the condensation of 2-carboxybenzaldehyde with the amine and two molecules of hydrogen cyanide and represent a novel class of isoindolinones.
Comparison of Water Adsorption Characteristics of Oligo and Polysaccharides of α-Glucose Studied by Near Infrared Spectroscopy
2014
The adsorption properties of water molecules on oligo and polysaccharides are attributed to the OH groups of the glucose rings in the molecules. The water molecules are adsorbed onto OH groups by hydrogen bond formation. Near infrared spectroscopic and gravimetric techniques were used in analysing the adsorption characteristics of malto-oligosaccharides and some polysaccharides. Near infrared spectra of the dry oligo and polysaccharides were acquired during the adsorption of water molecules at a relative humidity of 50-55%. The amounts of water adsorbed by the samples were also recorded by an analytical balance. Second derivative techniques were used in decomposing the OH combination freque…
