Important role of Nfkb2 in the KrasG12D-driven carcinogenesis in the pancreas

Abstract Background Oncogenic Kras initiates and drives carcinogenesis in the pancreas by complex signaling networks, including activation of the NFκB pathway. Although recent evidence has shown that oncogenic gains in Nfκb2 collaborate with Kras in the carcinogenesis, no data at the level of genetics for the contribution of Nfκb2 is available so far. Methods We used Nfkb2 knock-out mice to decipher the role of the gene in Kras-driven carcinogenesis in vivo. Results We show that the Nfkb2 gene is needed for cancer initiation and progression in KrasG12D-driven models and this requirement of Nfkb2 is mechanistically connected to proliferative pathways. Trillions of microbes inhabiting the gut modulate the metabolism of the host. Cross-sectional studies have reported associations between physical performance and the gut microbiota (GM). Physical activity seems to increase GM diversity and the abundance of certain health-beneficial microbes. We reviewed the evidence from longitudinal studies on the connection between physically active lifestyle or long-term exercise interventions and the GM. Ievads. Tamoksifēns ir krūts vēža terapijas medikaments. Tas ir selektīvs estrogēnu receptoru antagonists un agonists. Medikamenta lietošana var būt saistīta ar palielinātu risku šādu endometrija patoloģiju attīstībai: endometrija hiperplāzija, endometrija polips, endometrija vēzis un dzemdes mioma. Turklāt pie riska faktoriem endometrija patoloģiju attīstībai pieder arī sievietes vecums krūts vēža diagnozes brīdī, adipozitāte, hormonālās kontracepcijas lietošana, hormonālā aizvietojošā terapija, smēķēšana, blakus saslimšanas, dzemdību un grūtniecību skaits, kā arī endometrija hiperplāzija anamnēzē un endometrija vēzis ģimenē. Diemžēl pēdējo gadu laikā tika piedzīvots tarifu kāpums un tuvāko gadu laikā šī tendence prognozēta saglabāties, kā rezultātā palielinās ne tikai kopējās mājsaimniecību elektroenerģijas izmaksas, bet arī informētībās līmenis par to, kā no tā izvairīties. Nearly half of the global final energy consumption is thermal energy produced from technologies with high carbon dioxide emission. As such, it is imperative to employ carbon-neutral heat production to achieve a sustainable energy system. Membrane distillation: Solar and waste heat driven demonstration plants for desalination

Abstract The development of small to medium size, autonomous and robust desalination units is needed to establish an independent water supply in remote areas. This is the motivation for research on alternative desalination processes. Membrane distillation (MD) seems to meet the specific requirements very well. This work is focused on experimental studies on full scale demonstration systems, utilizing a parallel multi MD-module setup.
