Los castillos eran la espina dorsal del sistema defensivo del reino de Valencia, así como de todos los estados feudales. A través del análisis de la contabilidad de un libro de obras relativo al castillo de Sagunt analizamos el papel de los castillos valencianos en la defensa del territorio y su importancia en la creación de tejido económico y en la movilización de mano de obra. El volumen es especialmente interesante porque también refleja el abastecimiento alimentario y la compra de armamento. Además, las cuentas analizadas se realizaron durante la Guerra de Castilla (1356-1375) uno de los momentos claves de la historia de la Corona de Aragón.

Immediacy and distance in teacher talk—A comparative case study in German elementary- and outdoor school-teaching

This case study examines authentic speech acts by a German primary school teacher in the classroom context and the outdoor learning location of a forest. The study will compare the degree of linguistic immediacy or distance in these two contexts, respectively. Once a week, the class is doing “outdoor school” [Draußenschule] in places of natural or cultural interest near to their school. The structural change in the teaching environment means a change in the communication setting. The question arises if the teacher speaks to the students differently indoors than outdoors. Arthur Symons’s The Romantic Movement in English Poetry (1909) has elicited scant discussion. Part dictionary of British authors born before 1800, part series of portraits of canonical Romantic poets, The Romantic Movement remains perplexing with its unclear purpose and ungainly format. Given the existence of different databases from different sources that offer information on forward electricity prices, the need to compare them arises to guarantee that research results and trading decisions based on them are not sensitive to the database used. We worked with forward electricity prices traded over the counter, closest month to maturity, covering the period from 2010 to 2016 for the Spanish over the counter (OTC) market, and from 2008 to 2016 for the German OTC market. The Diversification of Sicilian Farms: A Way to Sustainable Rural Development

Rural areas still suffer from a lack of sustainable development, and the diversification of farms may be a step in the right direction. The paper provides a detailed picture of the diversification of Sicilian farms into tourism services. Specifically, we propose a simple indicator of localization intensity of agritourism farms and explore their spatial distribution at municipality level. Our study highlights that Sicilian farms rarely diversify into tourism services, despite being situated in attractive areas. That said, some significant spatial clusters of municipalities where agritourism farms are highly concentrated do emerge from the study.
Inter-area oscillations in the 500-kV Vietnamese power system

The paper presents the study of the 500-kV Vietnamese power system. The oscillatory response of the system is analyzed both with a modal analysis and a time domain analysis. The 500-kV system of Vietnam is modeled in details, including all the power plants with the corresponding regulators. The model is developed in collaboration with the Institute of Energy Science IES-VAST of Vietnam and it is validated with the data provided by the National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC) of Vietnam. We examined the prevalence of SP in a sample of teachers as well as work-related and health-related influencing factors of teachers’ SP. We used a cross-sectional study design. Teachers working at different types of schools in Rhineland-Palatinate (Germany) participated in an online survey.
