Piping erosion is one form of water erosion that leads to significant changes in the landscape and environmental degradation. In the present study, we evaluated piping erosion modeling in the Zarandieh watershed of Markazi province in Iran based on random forest (RF), support vector machine (SVM), and Bayesian generalized linear models (Bayesian GLM) machine learning algorithms. Young Russian Immigrants' Segmental Duration and Length in Finnish

This pilot study sheds light on how young Russian immigrants (n=10) produce Finnish segmental duration and length in read-aloud speech as compared to native Finnish speakers (n=5). Segment duration is distinctive in Finnish and an important feature of Finnish phonology, whereas in Russian it only plays a marginal role. The results show a general tendency of durational contrasts being difficult to learn with great interspeaker differences. peerReviewed

Šajā diplomdarbā tika pētīta mācību satura un valodas integrētas mācīšanās (CLIL) ietekme uz 12.klases skolēnu angļu valodas leksikas kompetences attīstību mācību priekšmetā “Politika un tiesības”. Autore uzskata, ka CLIL ir jābūt jaunās Latvijas izglītības pieejas būtiskai sastāvdaļai, jo tā nodrošina integrētāku un jēgpilnāku mācīšanos. Gadījuma izpēte tika izvēlēta kā pētniecības metode, un izpētes grupu veidoja 25 12.klases skolēni.
